I've heard a story about how too many stores of the same type in a neighborhood put each other out of business.

So, the story is that there is a shoe store it does very good business and is very successful. Then a second shoe opens up. Both stores continue to do good business. Then a third shoe store opens up, and business is not doing so well now. Then a fourth shoe store opens up, and there isn't enough business for them all to stay open. So, three of the businesses go out of business. Now we are back to the initial state of the story. Start back at the beginning of the story and repeat it.

Now, what touched me is this: businesses come and go. But since they can't all be in business, some will make it, and most won't. Feel like starting a business now? Chances are there are already 3 stores of the same type open in any given neighborhood. And if you go to the next neighborhood, then there are the same types of stores repeated just down the road from each other.

The economy isn't designed so that everyone will make it. You've got to compete.
    The end.
