Oddly, "the Russian ambassador to Australia has accused the Australian Federal Police of a cover-up." This cover-up included doctoring photographs of the BUK missile truck with one missing missile after the downing. But when asked what was the truth the ambassador said he did not know. He said he was alerted to the fabrication by material on the Internet.

    must be an Australian thing
On the eve of the trial of three Russians accused of murder over the downing of MH17, the Russian ambassador to Australia has accused the Australian Federal Police of a cover-up.

In a rare interview, Dr Alexey Pavlovsky, a long-time Russian diplomat, claimed key photographic evidence was “falsified” and withheld from the public.

It’s a claim denied by the Australian Federal Police.
Thirty-eight Australians were among 298 people killed when a BUK missile shot down the Malaysian airlines flight in Ukraine in 2014.
Three Russians, including two former members of the intelligence community have been charged with murder.

"Many of these pictures have been heavily tampered with it seems, that the Australian Federal Police as part of the investigation also had information to this effect but it somehow chose to withhold it from the public," Dr Pavlovsky said.

Investigators claim photographs and video show a BUK missile system driven on the back of a truck from Russia into Ukraine, then returning without the missile.
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) said the missile had come from a unit of the Russian armed forces.

    Russia has long-denied that accusation.

Dr Pavlovsky claims he "saw on the internet documents ... indicating the Australian participants to the JIT had some signals on the pictures presented as evidence being falsified."

The investigation team was made up of officers from Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Ukraine.

Over five years, Australia played a key role in the investigation, conducting forensic analysis and liaising with the families of the 38 Australian victims.

The AFP said "this evidence has been validated ... and forms the basis of the court file".

Russians Igor Girkin, Sergei Dubinsky and Oleg Pulatov were among the four people charged by the JIT with murder last year.

They will be tried in absentia when the trial starts on Monday.

The ambassador believes the accused and his country are innocent.

"So many fingers have been pointed at Russia in this context ... for me it’s quite enough to smell rat here."

The ambassador accused Australian authorities of holding an anti-Russian bias.

"I see the flaws of the investigation it is trying to provide the report, the result of which has been pre-determined."

That is a claim the Australian government has long denied.

Dr Pavlovsky also pointed a finger at Australian media, claiming it did not cover "the truth".
Despite repeated requests, Foreign Minister Marise Payne refused to be interviewed on the Russian ambassador's accusations and to defend Australia's role in the investigation.

But in a joint statement with Prime Minister Scott Morrison, said "Australia will continue to fight for justice for the victims of MH17 and their families".

"These Dutch trials are the result of a five-year international criminal investigation," they said

    MH17 disaster

Who is on trial over the shooting down of MH17?
But when asked what he thought that truth was, Dr Pavlovsky replied, "I don't know".

As prime minister, Tony Abbott in 2014 famously vowed to “shirtfront” Russian President Vladimir Putin over the tragedy.

Then-foreign minister Julie Bishop also said Russia had questions to answer.

“The fact that a sophisticated weapon belonging to the Russian army, found its way into Eastern Ukraine and was used to bring down a civilian aeroplane, raises significant issues. We’ll certainly be taking this matter further,” Ms Bishop said in an interview with the ABC

When the investigative reporter Robert Parry of Consortiumnews asked his Intelligence contact in Washington what they know about the shoot down, he was told that everything points to some rogue group in Ukraine. When Parry asked again after 3 months if they had anymore information, he was told no, and it still pointed to Ukraine.

Parry then asked them why they're not telling the American people the truth, and he was told that Russia has so much going for it in Ukraine, and all the US had was its propaganda.

When Parry wondered who was passing the big bucks around Washington to keep the blame on Russia for the shoot down of MH17, it turned out to be a company registered in Cyprus called Burisma Holdings. This is the one Biden's son worked for later on. On checking further, it turned out the owner was the mafia criminal Ihor Kolomoisky who is wanted in Moscow for using white phosphorous on the people of Slaviansk and is under suspicion for the burning and hacking of up to 200 protestors in Odessa.

At the time of the shoot down, there were 3 American satellites above the plane. None of the photos were ever shown. All that was said was: 'Trust us'. All the information Russia has from its own satellite was offered to the investigators, but it was ignored - as were the eye witnesses who said they saw two jets in the sky at the time.

Here is a video of a Russian prankster interviewing a drunk Kolomoisky. The number one plane he mentions is probably the one Vladimir Putin was in on his return from Brazil, since it resembled the MH17 in color and size. Putin's plane had landed in Warsaw two hours before, and the assumption probably was (I'm guessing here), that his plane would take the usual route to the Russian airbase.

The shoot down of the airliner was just another assassination attempt on Vladimir Putin's life. The whole trial is a farce.
