    On Thursday the Ottawa By-law and Regulatory Services announced they would start confiscating the pets of the Freedom Convoy protesters when their owner is arrested.

    The city officials say they will keep the dogs for 8 days and then the animals “will be considered relinquished.”

    So the Canadian govt. Is going after peoples dogs now.

    Even worse in Ottowa there are threats to euthanize convoy dogs.

    For many Truckers, their dog is the only friend they have on the road.

    I can understand them rehousing the dog at the owners expense but relinquishing the dog? I'm sure some will be jailed more than 8 days and their little buddy is gone forever.

    And euthanasia of the dogs? Thats some psychopathy right there.

    I'm sure many other Truckers would look after the dogs.

    they can call friends or family to pick up the dogs at any time if they are jailed, like anyone else would have too

    Here's a novel idea for these truckers. Take personal responsibility. Go home and take care of your dog and you won't get arrested.

    And... and... as they left would they be forced to yell, "YESSA MASSA!!!! I BE GOOD!!! THANEE MASSA!!! THANKEE FOR TAKING MY MONEY, HOME AND LIVELIHOOD!!! YESSA MASSA!!! THANKEE! and should they be required to scream this as the crawl for miles away from Ottawa? Only getting up when allowed to do so?

    I honestly don’t know what the problem is. If they get arrested, they’re going to take the pets too. What exactly do you want the government to do? Promise they won’t take the dogs and leave them out on the street in the middle of winter?

    Historically we know how that goes.

    sure they can, so why are we even talking about this, this is normal, we would do the same in the US

    do you think any criminal with a dog in the car is just let go, sorry, we will try to stop them again when they do not have a pet with them

    they are not heroes, they are blocking traffic for days on end, they are acting like domestic terrorists

    I would support a protest if they wanted to do that, not blocking traffic for days and weeks

    just like I supported protests in the USA, just not rioting and looting

    A mask... close your business... close your kid's school... control gatherings of you and your friends... shut down places of worship... destroy livelihoods... now have your moneyconfiscated... your home confiscated... even your pets... there's a lot more to this than masks
