    So here we have a prime example of how trump-style cost cutting is mindless, random, and dangerous. With no regard for public health and safety, with no regard for national security issues, with no consideration of the long-term economic consequences of a pandemic, trump fired the very people who could have helped minimize the effects of this.

    Government plays a critical role in protecting the public. This is not a job that can be done by private companies. It is a job that the Government and only the Government is equipped to handle. It cannot be driven by profit.

    sure we spend $700 billion on military, CDC and other health organization get peanut, when the pandemic hit we could have more death in one year than any wars we been through since WWII, if this thing spread like flu that is

    pretty sure another pandemic gonna happen again, the question is will POTUS listen to expert advice and prepare for it. will he add more funding to health than said defense.

    In the same time this had happened

    Dec 31 China notified WHO of Corona

    Jan. 11 first person dies

    Jan. 21 first case in America

    Jan. 23 Wuhan is locked down

    Jan. 30 WHO declares a global health emergency

    Feb. 5 the diamond princess Cruise ship is quarintined

    Somebody probably convinced Ol' Bonespurs that the only people trained to prevent Thousands of Deaths (in a Pandemic) were part of the "Deep State".

    Although, I must admit that I am surprised that he didn't appoint Alex Jones to fill the vacancy.

    What medical support does the NSC provide? None. CDC is our frontline for all health related crises, adding a politically appointed group through the NSC is an added obstruction that keeps the experts at CDC from doing an optimal job. Trump was right to remove that obstacle...

    I was just watching Dr. Fauci on what is probably a press conference from earlier today and Trump is standing behind him. As Fauci is speaking and explaining the vaccine and how it is tested, Trump shows zero intellectual interest of any kind or any actual contemplation or concern in his expression. He's dead inside.

    Yes, and note that he was meeting with the people key to responding to this now declared, national emergency. These people were there because they are THE people handling this in both government and in the private sector.

    Trump was exposed to Corona virus, so far has refused to be tested, other who were at Mar a Lago have now tested positive and one is showing symptoms. So what does trump do? He makes a point TO SHAKE EVERYONE'S HAND!!!!

    UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! The idiot may have just exposed all the people we need the most right now. And he did it right there on national TV. Only one of them refused to shake and offered an elbow bump instead.

    Just typical of how the bureaucracy grows itself. And then they will insist on how needed they are.

    People forget that President Trump offered to send CDC experts to Wuhan to work with the Chinese but that the ChiComms refused that help.
