I will tell you truthfully, Hand, that I grew up poor myself -- and back in a time when there was no welfare (I'm an old guy). The courts weren't even able to make my father pay child support. Boo-hoo. Anyway, we got by, but, it was not pleasant at all. If the government had given our little family free food that would have been just FINE with us.

Perhaps more than anything else, it seared into me the conviction that once I was an adult, I would never, EVER be poor again! And although the 'road to success' wasn't instant or easy, I did pretty well by the time I retired....

Maybe there is actually a lot of truth in the old saying --

You're not old with that sharp of a mind. I just turned 47. My body feels about 75% of my prime. What I hate the most is recovery time. I used to be able to bounce back up quicker. And I'll leave you with this....menus are now hard to read. At first I thought it was a gotdam conspiracy to save money or something.....nope...eyes got worse from one day to the next...that's how fast it was

Or believe some fake bs everyday. SNAP benifits don't expire and anyone who makes a return, get refunded in, you guessed it, SNAP credit. There is no way to get a cash refund for snap purchases.
Why would you think someone with such distain for SNAP recipients, (or whomever the poster looks down on), has any idea of the regulations on the SNAP program?

Its extremely common for people who hate, to be uninformed and biased, about the very thing, they hate.

    This forum teaches that superbly.

Really no way? Do you have to show ID when making a purchase with a EBT card, wait lemme answer that for you ;)

Soooooooo, say a person wishes to sell off EBT credit for cash at a rate both agree too.. What's to stop that or selling the use of your card for X amount of cash? Do you feel enlightened at this point, if so, you are welcome ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

Please go have your eyes examined ASAP! When I was your age I had just started to develop cataracts. Years went by and I knew my vision was not as sharp as it had been, but until I finally had cataract surgery a few years ago, I had no idea how subtle and yet dramatic those changes are over time.

It could be glaucoma or a dozen other things, but I sure would go see a good opthalmologist if I were you. Also, consider the long-term benefits of taking some combination of Lutein and Zeaxanthin (available at many stores and online without prescription). All the best!

No worries. I never had great eyesight. I've been wearing contacts since I was 12. I get regular checkups. No cataracts. Ya hear the joke?

Chinese man goes to the eye doctor and the doctor explains to the man that he has cataracts. The Chinese man replies, "No, I dwive a wincin continental"

I was only addressing the poster who said the stamps expire, and you said you learned something. You learned false info. They do not expire monthly. Snap Id's are photo id's, but people still sell em they just go through the register with the buyer's cart and swipe their card.

Zero ****s given by me either. You can't buy diapers with Food stamps. I'f someone needs a few buck and sells some food stamps wtf do I care? Especially when the department of defense is showing expenses like 10.000 for a screwdiver. ****.

Anyone who needs to go through the humiliating experience of even applying for snap, is no where near as loathsome as, say Bidden's son.

Your such a humorous 12 year old.
Love the use-name. Did you think it up all by yourself sweetie, or did your little friends help?

Seriously, I am just being humorous. A little levity in a place like this is needed.

You called me a twelve-year old and referred to me as "sweetie". Does "sweetie" mean a girl or a guy in your world?

Had cataract surgery in one eye and then the other a couple of years later. I tell people if I could have done it younger I would have since I wore glasses since age 9. I got monovision (nearsighted lens in one eye, distance in the other) so for about 99% of the time I don't need any glasses to read or drive but need distance vision glasses when driving at night, which I almost never do. Most people would not like monovision but since I was nearsighted to begin with and had one distance lens implanted I had monovision for a couple of years and was used to it.

One thing interesting I found out was about ultraviolet light. I was looking for a UV flashlight to highlight if a pet had peed somewhere, the protein will fluoresce. Most reviews had about 1/2 the people saying it didn't work. I got one and never saw any fluorescence until I had the first cataract surgery. Evidently even very slight cataracts can block seeing the fluorescence.

Children are sweet. No need to differentiate. Boys can be sweet, just as girls can be tough ... It ain't no thing...

I think it's a little weird to call me a 12-year-old and follow that with referring to me as "sweetie". That's on you.

I'm not your "sweetie". Remember that and we are cool.

We weren't cool before that. I've read your posts. But I'll refrain from pointing out you immaturity in the future. Your username speaks for itself.
