Wallace's only involvement in this whole thing is it was his assigned garage that had the noose.
He didn't find it, he didn't report it.

Why did Bubba Wallace do that was wrong such that he would need to apologize? When you realize that you can't answer that question rationally given that Bubba never filed the complaint and the FBI found that the only garage door pull that looked like a noose was in his garage, then you can maaaaybe start to understand why Trump's demand is racist.

But if that doesn't get you there, remember that Trump also immediately criticized NASCAR for banning the confederate flag in that same tweet.

Are they all tied in the form of a noose? I've seen garage pull ropes before, not at NASCAR garages granted, but I've never seen one tied that way. The back up pull rope for MY garage door isn't tied in the shape of a noose. Is yours? Why would they be tied that way?

No, according to the FBI, it wasn't targeted at Wallace. There WAS a noose there and proof that it wasn't Wallace who tied it, but that's only information for people who read...

 

You are assuming they were tying a noose and not just a knot with a loop they could grab to pull the door down. You are also assuming they would somehow know that at some point in the future (over a year) a black person would be assigned that garage.

If the FBI did say it was a hoax then they should have reported who perpetuated the "hoax". There was no "hoax". Trump and his gang of fools need to get over it.

No, I never assumed they could predict the future at all. No one made this noose for Wallace's sake.

A noose is specific type of knot that tightens under a load and the one in the garage is the type specifically tied when hanging people. That specific noose is rarely tied outside of that use as it's a symbol as much as a functional knot. There are much simpler nooses one could have tied to have a handle that look very different from this one.

There WAS a noose. It WAS tied before Wallace took over the garage. He accepted that finding. He never claimed someone specifically threatened him with the noose. These are all easily verifiable facts that you are squirming away from. There was no hate crime against Wallace, that is also a fact. Your use of the term a complete hoax is your own ignorance of the English language and your bizarre love of Trump showing is all.

 

I suspect it was used by someone as a joke with an obvious racial tone at some point in the past. I have no proof of that. Is that the end of the world? Does it make all of NASCAR filed with racists? The answer to both those questions is no. I'm only concerned that some people seem to imply the whole thing was somehow used to "harm white people via a hoax," as that's the most ludicrous conclusion one could come to.
