I would be willing to bet $1000 against both of your bold assertions. No wall and you have not spent as much or more time in the area, both sides than me. The second one would be hard to prove, and if Trump doesn't win that is moot. But if Trump does win, he might petition congress to put more in the budget for border security and that's about as far as it will go. That is surely part of it. Right now we have NO wall, actually or figuratively. When Trump starts ENFORCING THE LAW
that will bring up a figurative wall that has not been there for decades. The Border Patrol is chomping at the bit to be cut

People act like its so terrible like its so hard to get a visa. US and Canada are the only western countries that allow birth right citizenship. The US is number 1 for accepting legal migrants.

538 Has Trump at nearly 40% chances of winning, and they haven't included any FL poll showing him up 50-46, so that will likely be updated and included in the future. In FL itself, he's at 51% right now - include that poll and his chances look up there too.

The thread title is misleading.

"Catches up" implies he has already "caught up".

The wording should have been " Trump is CATCHING UP".

He hasn't YET "caught up".

Maybe a language barrier?

Had the Right believed the propaganda generated by leftist media rags then they would have written off Trump where Florida is concerned. But then again they have been taught time and again that those media outlets and their bought and paid for polling companies lie as often as they can get away with it for the Dem Party.

Who did those polling companies poll inside Florida when they were indicating that Trump had no chance there? Can one say "Heavy weighted with Dems or Independents with a history of voting for Dems?" Right of center posters can.

 

Florida is one of his home states, and he's spent a fair amount of time there.

The polling this week has been catastrophic. Hillary was supposed to be coronated, and here is Trump not only winning in many places, but opening up new fronts.

Hillary still looks like a zombie, and the debates are coming up. Never mind the terrorist attacks and wikileaks looming.

All this and there are only 50 days or so left, with Hillary now having to play defense.

Yes but now the average citizen KNOWS that the leftist media outlets are not only routinely lying to them but are effectively working for the Dem Party and so most of them are going to ignore what those outlets preach for Hillary.

 

There's objective reasoning to have previously written him off there, independent of "leftist media". Florida had the basic underlying trend showing it becoming bluer, and Florida hasn't been friendly to Republicans other than the pretty establishment Republicans (this based on info prior to 2016 Florida primary).

Trump has been doing better lately - I'd urge caution. While I'm not saying that he is, it's quite possible that he's peaking and will fall back down - he's been up and down before, and this is just the most he's been up.

 

The GOP is the party of no. Getting things accomplished is not exactly their performance standard.

Well you see right isn't really a minority in this county. So, see there are things they want to accomplish, that the left says no to, so nothing gets done.

Crying "intentionally misleading" while supporting Hillary is unintentionally amusing.

 

I think that is a significant part of it. But its interesting because it suggests the same left that routinely lies to others and rigs the message does not like it when their chosen one lies to them-at least when they stink like Hillary.

 

Certainly must be cautious. Though I have more faith in Trump after a year of him getting attacked from all sides vs Hillary finding her party and the media, her health, and perhaps the law looming over her.
