It depends on the situation. Someone naïve enough to believe violence is never a solution should take a couple history classes or step out into the real world, at least once.

 

THIS protestor did not deserve to be assaulted. Plain and simple. If you support violence being used against this protestor you are making my point.

I agree that Trump is getting support from both independents and Dems. I think Trump is actually the best chance, and probably only hope, for the GOP.

You need to give more clarification on what you mean by "identity politics"... not sure what you mean.

The Dems are working on a fairly solid populist message while the GOP is in disarray. The problem is that Hilly is "establishment" and there is an anti-establishment movement afoot.

Trump is capitalizing on this movement for sure but he still has more selling to do to prove his anti-establishment creds. Keep in mind that a large part of the anti-establishment crowd are informed voters and these are not easily swayed by platitudes.

The problem is that he is mobilizing Latino's (mobilization of minorities is not good for GOP in general) and they will almost all be voting against him. Blacks are also mobilized for this election and they mostly vote Dem.

The moves of the GOP in various states to make voting more difficult for minorities was a blunder. When you try to keep something away from people it has the effect of making them covet that thing. They shot themselves in the foot. By trying to decrease voter turnout they have increased it.

Trump is fighting an uphill battle.

Trump has been largely silent on Abortion and this a good thing. Most I think consider him rather moderate on abortion. If he was to open his mouth "like Carson" on Abortion I believe Trumps chances in the general election would be toast.

 

Hatred of Brown People? Is that all you see is skin color? I see a disruptive loudmouth, not a skin color, and outside of the Left, that is probably how most folks see it.

The PC crowd seems to have most folks cowed, Trump faces you unbowed. That is why he is such a ratings magnet. It's not so much that they approve of Trump, but you folks, they deeply disapprove of.

You do realize that the term implies (correctly as it happens) that WE'RE the invaders and THEY'RE the folks defending the homeland. So you're against stopping illegal invaders stealing a country?

You say po-tay-to, I say po-tah-to....it seems the general consensus is that this was no big deal. I believe most people could care less about someone protesting getting pushed around a little. It is expected. Many demonstrations end up with some type of collateral damage. Just look at Ferguson and Baltimore. Didn't hear much about the massive damage done in those places. Perhaps people are used to seeing that level of carnage so when someone gets pushed around a little it is no big deal.

Just speculating. The cheering is a calculated reaction certain people want. Sort of like random signs at Tea Party rally's popping up and if you watch the MSM, that's all you see. 1 out out of 100s of signs, but you would think they're ALL bad=) Marketing 101 and the Democrats have perfected it since 08.

Heck, go ask specifically what Trump said that would make him for example RACIST against immigrants, and 999/1000 Democrats wouldn't even have a clue. They just know they're SUPPOSED to hate him, like nice little sheep.
