Actually, it sucks but earmarks and "pork" got things done. Members were a lot more willing to support legislation when they could get things out of it. It's weird, and a absolute representation of the broken-ness of the system, but it worked better then not having it.

The Republicans have supporters that do 180s when their party is in power. This GOP congress is the most corrupt in a very long time. Citizens beware of the road that this current GOP congress and WH are on.
