Trump Hangs Up On NPR Interview After Making More Baseless ‘Rigged Election’ Claims

    Former President Donald Trump hung up on an interview with NPR’s Steve Inskeep Tuesday after being challenged on his unrelenting and baseless assertions of election fraud, slamming members of his own party who reject the claims and dismissing evidence of their falsity as he serves as political kingmaker in backing candidates supporting the lies for upcoming elections.

    So, just yesterday, we see Trump (AGAIN) Doubling (and Tripling) down on his delusional "rigged election" conspiracies.
    The interview was scheduled for 15 Minutes.
    (But, Trump hung up after only 9 minutes because he couldn't take the heat of being pressed on his delusional BS "rigged election" claims).

    The really troubling part of the interview, is Trump's implication that he will (apparently) only give full-throated endorsements to those politicians who are willing to endorse Trump's Election LIES.

    It sets up a really dangerous precedent heading into the Fall.
    The idea that anybody who wants Trump's Full Endorsement is going to have to go along with Trump's "rigged election" fantasies.

    Is anybody surprised that Trump bailed on the interview once he started getting called out on his Delusional BS?

    He only would have given the Full 15 if they had groveled.

    This sort of attitude by Trump is beyond delusional:

    Q: If you'll forgive me, maybe because the election was about you. If I can just move on to ask, are you telling Republicans in 2022 that they must press your case on the past election in order to get your endorsement? Is that an absolute?

    Trump: They are going to do whatever they want to do — whatever they have to do, they're going to do. But the ones that are smart — the ones that know, you take a look at. Again, you take a look at how Kari Lake is doing, running for governor. She's very big on this issue. She's leading by a lot. People have no idea how big this issue is, and they don't want it to happen again. It shouldn't be allowed to happen, and they don't want it to happen again.

    ^The way that Trump is (apparently, if not blatantly) insinuating that any politician who wants his endorsement in 2022 is going to have to Blindly PARROT Trump's Delusional "Rigged Election" Fantasies sets a real bad precedent.

    The article was from Forbes. The NPR link is to a transcript. And, sorry, but the information here is objectively true. He hung up on the call after making more baseless conspiracy theory claims.

    The way that Trump is clinging to this Pathologically Delusional "It was Rigged" Election LIE has gone long past the point of a basic "Family Intervention".

    Trump needs to be Involuntarily Committed to a Mental Health Facility.

    My question is, why is NPR even scheduling interviews with a lying insurrectionist in the first place? NOBODY who listens to NPR wants that programming content....

    Only a couple of days ago, it was @yabberefugee who said:
    He is about to put the fraudulent election behind him and help to put America 1st candidates in office. After that is done, he will run again for the high office, either that or support another like minded individual.

    Indeed, he appears to be focusing on helping certain candidates in their bids to win, but I don't see him putting the election behind him. This is his golden goose and as long as the contributions keep rolling in, he will keep it up.

    This is about ego and his malignant narcissistic mental defect but more importantly, it's about the endless donation "grift". They are raising money hand over fist with The Big Lie. At the end of the day, a fool and their monies are soon parted.

    2: number of infected with Covid since Jan 2021

    3: Inflation rate/figures since Jan 2021

    4: energy prices since Jan 2021

    5: human interest stories on folks who are hurting due to inflation since Jan 2021

    6: Number of US citizens still stuck in Afghanistan

    7: Value of military equipment left behind in Afghanistan


    those articles have a lot more relevancy than a former POTUS interview

    I sure would like to read those NPR articles

    But, instead of 8 Seconds, it was 8 Minutes?

    And, once Trump had reached the 9 Minute Mark (having already busted the OVER, in the Vegas Betting Markets) he figured that he had proved his point?

    His fraud claims are lies. Which is why he, like you, can never provide evidence of his claims. There's good reason all he could do was 1) whine 2) lie and 3) run away with his tail between his legs.
