Translation: Democrats refuse to negotiate at all.

And again yet another example of the BS being said by the dems. They could care less about ending this, they could care less about negotiating, they could care less about the dreamers and they could care less about doing a damn thing to end illegal immigration. The dems are on the wrong side of this and have lost sight of the law. I hope this changes.

    Cool story.

This meeting was not about negotiating the end to the shutdown. It was solely about sniping Democrats in an effort to undercut the negotiating position of the Democratic leadership.

Why does there need to be negation when they are passing the same bill already passed by the senate?

    Jesus, learn to read.
I’m not even going to attempt to deconstruct your strawman.

So we agree again. the House is exercising its constitutional prerogative (corrected spelling, my treat) to negotiate a clean budget bill to fund the government. That was the founding father's intent in the first place when it provided them the legislative tool to write one.. The President is trying to extort concessions by holding Americans hostage. Thanks for confirming.

These posts of yours are so easy. But it gets boring.

One percent is so far within the margin of error as to be laughable. Here's a poll that shows the support for the wall is precisely the same as it was one month ago.

Trump's internal polling shows better support. The poll that I have been involved with shows that 56% of Floridians support the wall.

Florida. Thanks for the heads up. I have been thinking about Florida polling data all through this debate.

This poll shows that only 39% support a border wall?

Just keep on drinking the CNN kool-aid.

Trump is not budging because he knows that way more than 39% want the wall.

The Dems keep on thinking that all Hispanics living in Florida are the same... Go figure?

I personally tend not to attend meetings where people are likely stomp out in a huff if they don't hear what they want. These are nothing but publicity stunts for Trump. He can bring the cameras in, to show an empty room with nobody but him sitting there. Great negotiators and deal makers with leadership skills, have this problem all the time.

How big is the support according to Rasmussen? I will eat my hat if you find a poll that shows it is bigger than 50%.

    *American Citizens Suffer.

Trump couldn't get Mexico to pay for the wall and so he is demanding that American taxpayers pay twice as much.

Same thing happened during the 2013 shutdown. How did that work out for Democrats?

Republicans seize Senate, get full control of Congress
    https://www.cnn.com/2014/11/04/politics/election-day-story/index.html

Shutdowns are crises for the Left, not the Right. Trump can wait and he will wait because his base and his party is behind him and everyone remembers what happened to Old Man Bush when he folded.

How long the Party of Big Government can hold out is an entirely different matter. As the shutdown drags on it will hurt Dims and their constituents a lot more than it will hurt Republicans and their constituents.

You still have provided no link to this 'poll' so who's to know what it measures, and which demographics it represents. I guess we can just believe in you and your fine character.

You need to stop releying on polls. Rememmber HRC? What did those polls show? Here is the the other thing with that, if there really the case, every liberal group would be jumping for joy, screaming it from the roof tops and posting it here on PF. Now ask yourself why isn't that happening? Maybe because groups like ABC and Wash. Post say other wise? But, what is the message that the dems are sending here? It saying they don't care or want the border secured. That is the message and that is what is going to come back.

The Americans killed/raped by illegals suffer. The tax payer suffers paying for these illegals.

Trump's building the wall and building it tall.

Trump will cave in eventually (if Trump doesn't cave in, the shutdown will last until 2021).

Trump will eventually convince his sycophants that even if he builds a 2-foot wall out of discarded popsicle sticks he will have kept his promise.

Then, of course, his sycophants will agree.

The ONLY way for Trump to even attempt to get "The Wall" would be to declare the "National Emergency" and see if that flies.

The Dems WON'T cave in on The Wall.

Do you have any way for discerning public support or opposition for a given policy? Or do you think that information is just irrelevant?

That isn't a good poll question.
"Would you favor or oppose building a wall along the entire border with Mexico". A better way to ask it would be would you support an entire wall or part of a wall along the border. Just by changing that little part, can throw off the entire poll.
