Nowhere in an official definition is there anything about lying. Contriving could be lying, but is not necessarily lying. So, when someone states it is a lie because the SC said it was contrived, it is not necessarily so.

What is truly bizarre is that the SCOTUS refused to rule that a US citizenship question should be on the census form regardless of the circumstances. Sometimes the actions of these brainiacs is inexplicable and inexcusable.

    Trump’s 11,000 ?? Too funny.

What is really bizarre is the inability of the SCOTUS to rule that a citizenship question is required to be on the census form. The House of Representatives distribution among the states is based on the population of US citizens in the states. That’s fundamental to the Constitution.

GOP senators this week urged Trump to reject what they describe as Iran’s ‘nuclear blackmail’ in the wake of the rogue nation’s violation of the 2015 nuclear agreement -- and highlighted the use of a mechanism in the U.N. resolution enshrining the deal that allows for a “snapback” of sanctions.

“Regime officials have signaled they intend to creep towards a nuclear weapon, while demanding concessions and promising to ‘reverse’ their violations if their demands are met,” Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and Marco Rubio, R-Fla., wrote in a letter Tuesday. “We urge you to reject their nuclear blackmail.”

Iran recently began stockpiling low-enriched uranium beyond agreed limits, in violation of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and have warned that more violations could soon be coming. A United Nations Security Council endorsed the Obama-era agreement, but Trump pulled the U.S. out of the JCPOA last year.

Iran is simply doing what Trump did, removing itself from the agreement, something many feared would happen. I voiced the concern over a year ago.

Since Iran shot down an American surveillance aircraft, Trump's only reaction to the Iranian threat has been meaningless sanctions and a July 3 tweet. Meanwhile, the White House and war hawks Pompeo and Bolton have also been silent.

It is almost as if the Trump White House is wishing Iran would just go away.

I wonder how long Trump's supporters can continue to ignore what Trump is doing.

The foundation of the Constitution is the concept of equal representation of US citizens. You think that is idiotic ??

Well as an anonymous poster on the Internet, you are certainly more qualified to interpret the US Constitution than those “brainiacs” on the SCOTUS. Many graduates of Trump University Law School feel the same as you.

Wilbur Ross, the commerce secretary, has said that he ordered that the citizenship question be added to the standard 2020 census form solely in response to a December 2017 request from the Justice Department. But three federal trial judges ruled that the evidence in the record demonstrated that Mr. Ross was not telling the truth.

By one government estimate, about 6.5 million people might not have been counted if the citizenship question had appeared on census forms. Courts have found that Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New York and Texas might have each lost seats in the House as a result and a loss of federal funds.

“Number one, you need it for Congress — you need it for Congress for districting,” Trump said Friday. “You need it for appropriationswhere are the funds going? How many people are there? Are they citizens? Are they not citizens? You need it for many reasons.” Trump's No. 1 enemy is Trump.

The real reason for the GOP strategy behind the citizenship question is provided by Thomas B. Hofeller, and the Justices know this.
Hofeller, a Republican strategist who died last summer, had written a report in 2015 saying that adding a citizenship question to the census would give Republicans a significant advantage in drawing new legislative district lines.

The 2015 report concluded that adding a citizenship question to the census would allow Republicans to draft even more extreme gerrymandered maps to stymie Democrats. Months after urging Trump’s transition team to tack the question onto the census, he wrote the key portion of a draft Justice Department letter claiming the question was needed to enforce the 1965 Voting Rights Act — the rationale the administration later used to justify its decision.

Everything else Trump and his lawyers say is pure B.S.

BTW, his lawyers are in the Department of Justice. Barr is doing a hell of a job representing the President.

    Of course.

And by counting non-citizens that allows Democrats to add districts and add more Democratic representatives.

How in the frick is that fricking fair????

The BBC reports, "France and Iran have agreed to look at conditions for resuming talks to try to save Tehran's nuclear deal with world powers, President Emmanuel Macron says.

"During a phone call with President Hassan Rouhani, Mr Macron expressed his "strong concern" about the consequences of abandoning the 2015 accord.

"Mr Rouhani called on European countries to act urgently to save the deal aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear programme.

"The agreement has been in jeopardy since the US pulled out last year.

"It is going to be hard - if not impossible - to get the Americans back on board, BBC Diplomatic Correspondent Jonathan Marcus writes.

"The Europeans are struggling to do much to relieve the pressure on Iran from US sanctions and the fate of the nuclear deal itself is now more precarious than ever, he adds."

Trump is doing his best to destroy NATO, Russia's sworn enemy, and Iran is Russia's ally. Putin is pleased with Trump's performance.

Take that up with our Constitution. Our Constitution says people are to be counted, not citizens.

The U.S. has unique situation on our southern border not found anywhere else on the planet. Non-citizens cause states to add or subtract districts, not Democrats.

Count them. Just identify whether they are legal residents and citizens. Problem solved.

This post was ignored by Trump's fans. It deserves repeating. They not only can't defend Trump, they can't even defend themselves. Even Pardon_Me couldn't respond.

    Pardon_Me said:

President Trump doesn't have fans. He has Patriots. Those of us who value this nation, and are willing to protect it.

Trump's fans are not patriots. They are members of a cult. How else do you explain their inability to defend Trump. You avoided all the posts concerning vital issues of today to change the subject away from what Trump is actually doing and saying.

How else do you explain your support for a President who is pandering to communist dictators?

“I was really being tough - and so was he. And we would go back and forth,” Trump told a rally in West Virginia. "And then we fell in love, okay? No, really - he wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters,” he said.

"I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today," Trump said during a joint news conference in Helsinki.

At the Group of 20 meeting in Osaka, Japan, Trump was asked about the election meddling. He lifted a finger, pointed it at Putin while smirking and joked, “Don’t meddle in the election.” Putin surely grasped the significance of Trump’s lame gesture. He got away with it and can again. Trump wants Putin's help again in 2020.

"President Trump doesn't have fans. He has Patriots." Now we both know you couldn't possibly be serious. That was a joke, right?

Yeah, I remember Trump making a fool of himself in 2015 as well. Liberals laughed and laughed ... just rolled on the floor ...

until those results started coming in late on election night, 2016 ....

Am I remembering that correctly? I could watch that video with Joy Reid's mocking grin all day. Who made a fool of themselves? Trump? Or the braying jackasses laughing at him?

So you do not believe that the number of representatives from each state must be determined by the number of US citizens residents in each state ??

I believe that we as Californians deserve at least 10 or 15 US Senators to make up for the 20 that under populated wastelands like both Dakotas, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska and all those other manufactured square states have. If you want to talk about disparity of representation, let’s start there. We here in California are being ruled by guys like Mitch McConnell and Orin Hatch who come from podunk backwater states with tiny populations. They have buddied up to stack the US courts with corporate whores that are beholden only to those who pay for all of those cheap Senate seats. So don’t come crying to me about being under represented because they won’t discount the Mexicans in the census....Boo hoo..

Read the Constitution and the Federalist Papers which are behind it. The Senate is contructed to represent the states and the House represents the people who live in the states. You are being ruled by the morons in Sacramento. California is a joke. I know because I live here.

LMAO...Yeah, and hearing trump proclaim that George Washington's namesake army rammed the ramparts of Fort McHenry in 1814 to win the Revolutionary War was enough to give his useful idiots leg tingles.
But now comes the interminable turd polishing trying to turn that pig's ear into a silk purse.
    Sisyphus had an easier task.
