Well damn, you are an attorney. Complex legislation serves only the monopolistic interests of a few "professions" and the large businesses where "regulatory capture" is life. The annuity for the political class. Cheers
So it appears you measure of effectiveness is not the content of the bills, but the number of words they contain. Well that certainly plays well with trumpettes, but then again stupid metrics for stupid people seems to work.
So you have no problem with flipping the switch on die hard partisan attacks because Donnie is doing exactly the same thing? Guess schoolyard logic resonates with Trump and his trumpettes.
Definitely not you, just the gullible need to change the factual based topic. Trump being a dictator is Trump's fantasy, let's keep it that way.
Well, we are told Trump does not like to read. He "hears things" and "people tell me". When he does read, it's the National Inquirer - which is fine, except he doesn't read it for amusement, HE TAKES IT SERIOUSLY!
Tries to stifle the media. Tries to claim he has more support than he has. Ridicules federal judges. Makes Muslims and Mexicans scapegoats for our problems
His response devolved the last time this was pointed out. Trump hopefully will not succeed under mining the Congress and Judiciary but Congress is already totally corrupt.
That poisonous snake poem he read at his rally was the most disgusting thing I have ever heard a president say. Putrid red meat to his cheering racist, xenophobic, paranoid base. Absolutely disgusting. I can't think of any other adjective.
That necktie... what's the story? Is it a bib? Is it part of a Devil costume? Is it a bullet proof guard for his balls? Is it a custom one of a kind tie? Is it a clip on? He looks like a 1st grader wearing daddy's tie. Who dresses this jerk? Sorry for going off topic, but it's starting to bug me. (lol)
The only thing DJ Trump can truly consolidate is his own stupidity. Less tweeting should be a good thing however.
The thing is, the huuuge tie makes him look smaller. If it was a normal sized tie, he'd have to be 4 ft tall. Maybe it's a proxy, to represent his enorrrrrrmous penis? Or to overcompensate for a tiny one? Whatever the story, that tie is wrong, wrong, wrong. The color, too. Tone down that eyesore, Donnie.
The point is that our last two Presidents (Trump and Obama) both have the same problem of not respecting the idea of balance of powers.
I think all laws should be able to be understood by everyone without the need for a team of lawyers. Good job assuming what I thought. Sad that I said that right there and you just acted like I said something else. What I keep hearing is Trump hasn't done a thing. Looks like he has, and it took him less words to do it. Whether it's good or bad is ENTIRELY subjective. Clinton did a better job than Obama at it.
Well it seems you think a comparison of a comprehensive healthcare reform bill to a bill that is essentially no more than incredibly sketchy "repeal" with NOTHING done with the "replace" part of the deal is an example of "more with less"? Like I said, stupid metrics for stupid people seems to work in some parts.
You seem to feel that the effectiveness of a law is judged by word count. *shrugs* So tell me, do you think laws should be easily understood by everyone without the need for a team of lawyers, or should they be needlessly wordy, requiring teams of lawyers to decipher the law? I believe the former and you call that and me stupid without even realizing I'm not discussing the effectiveness of a law. I think someone(YOU) should look in the mirror.
Oh no, I would love laws to be written in plain language. Unfortunately "plain language" does not have the necessary precision nor lexicon to clearly delinate legal boundries and actions. Laws are meant to be clear and precise to weather the legal processes as constitutionally outlined. A law that says you can't kill anyone unless in self defence is pretty simple and straightforward, except then you have to explain what you mean by self defence and in what circumstances said self defense is warranted, because killing a guy because he threatened to kick your arse is a tad disproportionate. If you think laws today are "subject to interpretation" I can just imagine the brouhaha over "interpretations of plain language laws" would be like,.
Take this and apply the precision laws must have and apply it to Trump speak and you are looking at total chaos.
