That part would be easily fixed with barbed wire at the top, sensors and border patrol driving by. Will you stop everyone? No, but you sure will cut down on the majority coming in.

I would hope not, there is still a lot of border to protect, although we don't have to put barriers up on all of it. Some parts are so desert-less, you would die trying to get to it or find water on this side after crossing. Many have died using the regular crossing points illegals use to sneak in.

That is part of what the US military did when they were at the border. It would probably help, but you can cut concertina wire with wire cutters and use a blanket to get over it.

 

Seems to me these Democrats are saying a wall/fence won't work and we can't afford 5 billion dollars to increase border security. Yet here they were giving over 8 times that amount for a fence that won't work just a few years ago.

 

Put up the wall or fence with barbed wire and replace their vehicles with water canon trucks, problem solved, except for a few tunnels we find. We can even flood them out when we find them

I don't know, but it's crazy putting so many border guards on. They do what they always do, get short of money and pull thousands of those BP off. Walls don't come down when you get short of money.

You could put an agent every 10 feet along the border. It wouldn't stop hordes from showing up at that border, claiming persecution in their home countries, and being released into the interior to disappear.

I have been looking to see why that bill was not passed and nothing seems clear about it. But it does suggest that bill was tied to giving citizenship to the 11 million illegals. They would be given it after so many miles of fencing was complete. Remembering back then the majority of Republicans were against that and screamed their head off to trash it. That makes sense in why so many Democrats were for it, seeing future voters

 

I remember how mad I was, Our own Senators McCain and Kyle were on that committee, I think it was called the gang of eight. We called it a sell out to the Democratic Party and a knife in the back to Republicans, as we knew most of them would vote Democratic and give Democrats a huge advantage in future voting. It was a bill mostly to give citizenship to 11 million plus illegals than protecting the border.
