I agree that was unacceptable as well. Obama was a horrible President, and much of what he said was unacceptable for the POTUS to say. Saying Obama was horrible is not a good defense of Trump. It's like saying that cat (*)(*)(*)(*) stinks as a defense of dog (*)(*)(*)(*). Both are (*)(*)(*)(*).

Just one among many mistakes made by your Messiah.

Agreed; best thing for the country at this point

I disagree, let's take Trump's crown and give it to Sanders.

Trump lied, our murder rate is not the highest in 47 years.

It is an outright lie. He does this routinely.

He makes up false storeies and imagines incorrect statistics in order to get the sound byte and pander to the fears of his base.

He knows exactly what he's doing; he's doing it deliberately (and has all his life) , and that makes him a liar.

Nothing to do with rate. The point is that Trump said two different things to two different audiences (still can't read links?)

To the Sheriffs he said "THE PRESIDENT: And yet the murder rate in our country is the highest it’s been in 47 years, right? Did you know that? Forty-seven years. I used to use that -- I’d say that in a speech and everybody was surprised, because the press doesn’t tell it like it is. It wasn’t to their advantage to say that. But the murder rate is the highest it’s been in, I guess, from 45 to 47 years."
That's patently wrong. Our murder rate (note the word rate) is 4.9 per 100,000 people. That's much less than what it was in 1991, when it was over 10 per 100,000 people (again using rates) (I'll do the math for you, that's over twice what it was in 2015). We are NOWHERE near being at the highest murder RATE of the last 47 years.

Now, to the Police chiefs he said "Murders in 2015 experienced their largest single-year increase in nearly half a century. In 2016, murders in large cities continued to climb by double digits. In many of our biggest cities, 2016 brought an increase in the number of homicides, rapes, assaults and shootings." That is correct.

My point is that he said different things to different people that mean very different things. To the Sheriffs, he majorly told something that wasn't true--either by incompetence or lying. Either choice is unacceptable for the President. He needs to simply admit he misspoke. To the Police chiefs, he was correct. He needs to be correct every time, not just some of the time, especially about major things like this. Obama used to (*)(*)(*)(*) me off with his lack of knowledge and misstating things, now we have a new President who's just as incompetent.

Yes, of course the vast majority of mass shootings are committed by Black and Brown. What planet are you living on?

That is what you said. Changing how we refer to Muslims is not the same as forcing someone to change the findings of a study. So you lied. Thanks for playing and sharing your "alternative facts."

The number of deaths attributed to mass shootings are statistically minute, to the point of being insignificant when compared to the number of firearm-related deaths that occur on a one-to-one ratio between the assailant and the victim. There are approximately eleven thousand firearm-related homicides in the united states in a given year, and mass shootings amount to less than five percent of those.

This article illustrates this fact quite well. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/national/mass-shootings-in-america/

Two years ago there were twelve thousand firearm-related deaths for the united states. Of those only thirty nine occurred in events that are categorized as mass shootings.

the article further illustrates that in the last fifty two years in the united states, there have been eight hundred and eighty four deaths attributed to mass shooting-type events. That is a grand total of seventeen deaths related to mass shootings per year.

Once again. The number of deaths attributed to mass shooting-type events are statistically minute, to the point they are insignificant.

All of those actions went way beyond just changing reports.

But they did include changing reports.

Original: A Muslim man committed a terrorist attack.

Edited: A man committed a terrorist attack.

That's chanting how things are reported.

    That's what Obama did.

Then perhaps you should explain the matter so that it may actually be understood.
