Don't know much about this "rapture" business. My reading of it is that it's essentially un-datable.
Some things we can date, more or less on the basis of events - and that is the Magog war of
Ezekiel 38,39. That reads to me something that could happen within a century or so. It says ALL
the Jews are back in Israel and she is attacked by the Persians, Arabs, North Africans and this
mysterious Magog which is "to the uttermost north of Israel" And Israel's ally is an island or coast
land not known to the writers of the bible.

But I wrote about this ethnic forcing as tongue-in-cheek. Sure, many Jews have no intention of
ever living in Israel, not even visiting it. But I wonder if they will have any choice in generations to
come with the rise of a new anti-Semitism from the left, right and burgeoning Western Islam.

Religion CAN have a genetic basis if it's an ethno-religion.
The sexual fidelity of Hassidic Orthodox Jewish women

I reckon that if we can extract meaningful DNA from ancient

I don't know about Armageddon or Rapture. Some prophecies are set in a context, ie the Messiah
and Rome - here you understand the Messiah must come during the time frame of the Roman empire.
What time frame is Armageddon?

As for "destroying the world." The blockade of the Straits of Tiran by Egypt and the attempt to divert
the Jordan River by Syria was the trigger for the 1967 war. A war that dragged America into the
conflict for the first time as Russia got involved.
And the 1973 war, when Egypt struck across the Suez while Syria attacked Galilee was the trigger
for the second near-WWIII incident. So I don't think it's Israel doing this.
And this week Iran again said it would destroy Tel Aviv in a nuclear strike. I haven't heard Israel say
it would nuke Tehran.
