"If I renounce my beliefs, if I agreed to stay silent, if I stayed at home and just took it easy, the persecution of Donald Trump would stop – immediately stop," Trump continued. "But that's not what I will do. I can't do that."

Trump admitted he had a "much simpler" life outside of politics, but he cannot stay away, because we have to "save our country."

The various criminal probes will reach their determinations whenever they are ready. I mean seriously, on the right you have this talking point about TDS - do you honestly believe all the 'TDS sufferers' will suddenly feel fine about letting Trump off with whatever criminal exposure they think he has?

 

Well of course not all of them however there’s a big chunk of them who see him as a threat for 2024 and if he’s removed as a threat then they won’t concern themselves with him nearly as much.

We will only sssure that with the political power, whatever is done to Trump will be visited upon Biden as soon as he leaves office. The precedent will be set and there’s enough in BiDen and his past to lock him up as well if that happens to Trump. Some cooler heads will oppose opening Pandora’s box here and starting us upon that slippery slope. After the 2016 election, Obama welcomed Trump to the White House and attended his inauguration. Trump extended neither courtesy to Biden, so if you're trying to make a partisan point, it's not a very good one.

 

Obama illegally spied on Trump and his holdovers worked to drive him from office. Trump was too politically inexperienced to defend the nation against their insurrection, other than his marvelous restoration of the Judiciary, the one place where the Senate cooperated with him. So, the Swamp managed to drive Trump out, but, there is another...

Trump was easy compared to DeSantis. Comey, Rat-Faced Rosenstein, and hell even Fauci outfoxed Trump. Trump was too damned nice. He wanted too much to be liked. He had no fundamental understanding of just how implacable his foes are. He held over way way too many Obama folks. DeSantis will not make any those mistakes.

Bill Clinton, his first order of business was to fire nearly every single one of the US Attorneys and replace them with his own hand picked folks. That will be more in keeping with the DeSantis approach. Being a Governor makes a difference.

In fairness to Trump, he went first, and God Bless him, he did fight. A tough lessons were learned that will benefit the next generation of GOP leaders. We will honor Trump's service to this nation.

He restored rising wages.
He refused to start new wars.
He didn't bug out of Afghanistan and make the Taliban the best armed terrorist group in the world.
He visited North Korea and warmed greeted the leader of country we have been at war with for 70 years.
He began the Abraham Accords that will serve as a foundation for further peace in the Middle East.
He restored the Judiciary and the Supreme Court.

When you forge evidence to get a warrant and lie to the FISA court in order to trick then into approving spying, the spying that results is illegal. If they wanted to remain under the color of law, they would have acted lawfully, honestly, and with integrity, but, if they would have told the truth the warrants would have never been approved.
