At Trump's Urging, 3 UCLA Players Have Departed China

Great news all. Trump managed to persuade China to release the players that are accused of shoplifting in China. I think we and they owe Trump a debt of gratitude, especially the players.

    How do you feel?

If they committed the crime they should have received punishment according to the country they were in.

Great news? Scholarship riders embarrass the university by shoplifting and the POTUS is forced to intervene.

Yeah I thought college students loved them some communism/socialism.

They've been robbed of their experience.

Over sunglasses, I think there must be a better way than life in a China prison.

Just think of it as a "liberal study into the successes of communism".

And yes, I think one of the biggest problems in this country are people who think they can do whatever they want to do with no consequences.

They're thieves. They should have been punished.

Not in China. How much political capital was wasted on these ****ing morons that could have been used elsewhere such as NK. They were self entitled little pricks who got caught stealing in a country famous for its harsh laws and the worst part is they are now going to see themselves as completely above the law since the President of the US came and rescued them. I would have let those ****ers rot in jail.

Maybe they paid huge fines? Still, guys ... sunglasses .... They were owed punishment, but billing their family for bullets?

Were they sentenced to death or something?

I didn't see anything about what would have happened to them.

A couple months in pris...I mean, an intimate look into communism would have been a valuable learning experience into the joys of communism.

Also, a thief is a thief, I don't care what they stole.

If you think they draw the line at sunglasses, you're kidding yourself.

What converts a thief to being honest?

Say you drive a mile past the speed limit. Technically you need severe punishment but I would not be that harsh on you.

Do you recall Jean Val Jean in Les Miserable?

Slightly going over the speed limit and being a thief are not the same thing.
