In his speech Romney did all he could to try to destroy the Trump candidacy in November if he is the Republican candidate - and has said he would not turn down the nomination if offered it an a brokered convention. His speech could be sumarized as "Make me, Mitt Romney, the nominee or I will assure that Hillary Clinton wins."

Cruz in the candidate of Wall Street/Goldman Sach and Big Oil, while holding up a Bible. Rubio decided to be the establishment candidate. Kasich is a technocrat. Trump is Trump. Romney is a "moderate" RINO. A vote for other than Trump at this point is a vote for a deadlocked convention and Romney's goal of being the nominee without one voter's vote.

So... who would you rather be the Republican nominee, Trump or Romney?

On the Sunday talk show, Mr. Romney said he isn’t running and plans to endorse one of Mr. Trump’s three rivals — either Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Ohio Gov. John Kasich or Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

“I can tell you this: I’m not a candidate. I’m not going to be a candidate. I am going to be endorsing one of the people who is running for president,” he said. “One of the four is going to be the Republican Party nominee. Three of the four are people I would endorse. But I’m not running and I’m not going to be running.”

    Kind of a moot poll.

    False!

Romney exactly said he would NOT turn down the nomination if offered, but that he isn't a candidate - which is accurate. He wants the nomination without a single vote and hopes to deadlock the convention. Try reading the first two paragraphs of your own link. It really isn't THAT hard to understand.

Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, refused Sunday to rule out becoming the nominee again this year at a brokered convention, though he insisted he couldn’t imagine that happening.

“I don’t think anyone in our party should say, ‘Oh no, even if the people of the party wanted me to be president, I would say no to it.’ No one is going to say that,” Mr. Romney said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Go try to derail someone else's thread with false information.

I'm sorry, I'll believe the part of the article that actually quotes Romney saying he won't be running

And, do you really think the "people of the party" want Romney?

I underlined his exact quote. The "people of the party" at a brokered convention is the Republican Party elites, not Republican voters.

I do love the way that Romney brings out some of the worst of Trump's infantile hypocrisy. Trump went after Romney's political losses, while desperately hoping that no one remembers his own lackluster political performance of the past, and desperately hoping that no one realizes that Romney accomplished more politically than Trump has so far.

Romney had his chance, and he blew it. He has no personality, no vision.

calling for American boys to die for Israel, fuels anti-Semitism.

In the 5% chance of that happening, the voters would revolt.

We didn't like Romney when he ran against Obama. It was just a hold your nose vote against Obama.

Romney would simply be the kick to the stool the GOP establishment is standing on, with a noose around their neck.
