    Firing back at The New York Times reporting former President Donald Trump will make an early 2024 campaign announcement as soon as July 4, Trump blasted the "fake news" without providing any clarity on his intentions.

    "12 wins & zero losses this week (Mary Miller won against all odds), 33 & 0 in Texas, 132 & 7 this cycle — there has never been anything like 'our' endorsement — and the Fake News New York Times writes that I may announce an early presidential run because I haven't done well with my endorsements," Trump fired back at the Times on Saturday morning in a Truth Social post…

    …The Times claimed Trump might make a 2024 campaign announcement as soon as July 4 and might even do it from his Truth Social account.

    Trump has long said he would wait to announce his campaign due to outdated campaign finance laws, including restricting how he uses his $100 million in his campaign war chest and restricting his biggest donors…

    T    he New York Times is a pathetic news organization. Their bigotry and bias are well known. There are lots of reasons why Trump would not declare his candidacy for President 2024 now. Trump is right to call out the MY Slimes now.

    I hope he doesn't run. He has too much controversy surrounding him and it will only make the divide even wider.
    Not to mention I am tired of old guys.
    I think he should just sit back and support DeSantis

    The left wing media would love for Trump to announce his intention to run because then they could make all the news about him rather than Bad News Biden. Like what happens on this board, every mention of Biden’s failures would be deflected with Trump whataboutisms.

    I think he would fire up liberals and give them something to campaign with and that’s their hatred of Trump. If he runs then he has to win, and if he wins I’d be happy with that. I’d also be happy with DeSantis.

    If Biden runs again what the hell can he possibly campaign on, the new liberal world order? The guy has no successes or achievements, all he could run on is reversing the damage he’s caused. And forget about Harris. I think Newsom is going to run.

    I don't think this board and its leftist member will ever get past Trump! If I were the sysop I'd move to curb the constant derailing to Trump as it's making this site and its threads arduous and boring! Might as well be all Trump all the time forum..

    If Trump runs and wins, all he will do is fuel 24/7 leftist idiocy like their riots, media coverage, and fake news all over again. To include investigation after investigation and nothing will get done.
    I agree with his policies but even now the left is still regurgitating how Trump hurt their feelings a thousand times a day.
    I just don't see how it could be beneficial

    I too think Newsom will run. If Biden drops out of running this year and Hillary stays out, I think Trump will decide not to as well. I do personally believe that Newsom and De Santis literally hate each other and everything the other stands for even more than Trump and Biden/Hillary do.

    It was fake news to report that Trump was going to officially declare his candidacy for President in the 2024 election next week. That’s all that this thread is about. Him calling them out for making stuff up and calling it news. The article lists so many reasons why he should not do that now
