These human cell lines can now easily be obtained without having to harvest fetal tissue, so the line of cell culture that was originally derived from fetal tissue in the 70s is indistinguishable from newer cell lines that are not. I'd say it's pretty much a moot point now. We are talking about human cells grown in a petri dish, and where the ancestor cells originally came from.
