Former President Trump says “even” former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) handled the coronavirus pandemic better than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), his latest attack the day after DeSantis officially joined the 2024 GOP presidential primary. It really makes one wonder if DeSantis has the chops to answer these attacks in-kind. DeSantis needs to answer quickly, every time that Trump starts spewing his BS, or Trump will completely control the narrative.
DeSantis should just ignore Trump's attacks and go on offense. Ignore Trump's specific criticisms and keep talking about him being an abuser of women and someone of poor morals.
Many have said that should be the DeSantis strategy... Totally ignore Trump's schoolyard insults and forge his own path... DeSantis does NOT have the chops to get into the gutter with Trump... So, instead of stooping to Trump's sophomoric level, Ron should seek the high ground...
If Trump really said that, his less than crazy supporters should desert him in droves. The crazy ones will vote for him until he's reached age 115. He's clearly lost his marbles of he said and is now on an intellectual level with Biden.
The same Trump who gave Dr. Fauxi complete control over our government's response to a serious disease outbreak is criticizing Gov. DeSantis for not locking down his state? That's so obtuse it's not even funny.
There were lots of people on that stage in 2016 who had more brains than Trump and not a self destructive ego. I think Ron is going to suffer the same fate as those people.
I understand that Trump's supporters will never forgive him for doing one reasonable thing in the wake of a pandemic. Their hatred for reason is obtuse and not even funny.
That's fairly ironic, because Trump told the States to lock down, and DeSantis was among first to say 'YES SIR'.
Yea, he said it. That sounds like desperation to me. It’s like Biden reversing everything Trump did, even the good stuff, only because Trump did it. Sometimes you sound better and appear objective and reasonable if you agree that something your opponent did was good. Neither Biden nor Trump are capable of that, which is one reason why neither of them should be re-elected.
He didn't say that. He said that NY had less "COVID deaths" than FL had, and per government data he's correct if that's the way one wishes to look at it. Quite frankly, I don't give a rip about any of this (as the whole concept of "COVID deaths" is a scam anyway). I also care MUCH more about national economic/energy policy, national border policy, and foreign policy than I do about anything relating to COVID.
My own opinion is that actual covid deaths were a fraction of the numbers that were published. The numbers were developed for political purposes even with members of the medical professions. It was the most political disease of all time. Most were deaths "while testing positive for covid" in my view.
