Garyd, I don't have a bachelor science degree in economics but Donald Trump does.

Both Wall Street and Main Street are very optimistic with Trump in the White House.

Consumer confidence is high today.

But wages aren't going to increase as long as we keep allowing a million or more immigrants to enter the workforce every year.

The most prosperous times in America's history when wages soared and the middle class grew was when America had really strict immigration regulations and usually between 100,000 to 200,000 immigrants allowed into the country per year.

The way it works, immigration is suppose to be what is best for the American citizen and American worker and America... not what is best for the immigrant or business owners or one political party.

 

Depends on the Job. Most of us aren't competing with illegal immigrants. If you do yard work or frame carpentry or even fast food you're competing with illegal immigrants. If you are a machinist or a an aircraft mechanic not so much. That being said when H!B's are used to replace American workers as at Disney that isn't right and shouldn't be allowed. And Illegal immigration needs to be stopped yesterday. Being a safety release valve for incompetent and corrupt leaders south of the border means that the problems there will never be fixed. I't not good for the immigrants it isn't good for us and it sure as hell isn't good for the countries in which they live.

Only because that was his campaign pledge. I kinda thought the whole concept of electing trump was that he could do what no one else could do. And oh, btw, the budget under Clinton’s WAS pretty much balanced.... the republican congress INSISTED on that.... at least they insisted when a democrat was president, but not so much when bush was elected

 

I too would like him. But let’s be real, all he would get is a bullet. That’s the ONE thing that would get him killed as president. Just ask the other people that tried using the treasury instead of a bank...
