Trump supporter pulled knife on family with children outside Manhattan courthouse

Well there you go.

When using words do not convince someone, I guess a MAGA supporter broke out a weapon.

Indeed, one such person, who had someone bump into them with a baby stroller, pulled a knife on the family over the bump.

Luckily court security was there and the Trump supporter was arrested before the incident got any more ugly.

A Donald Trump supporter protesting the Manhattan district attorney’s probe of the former president pulled a knife on a family with two small children Tuesday outside Manhattan Criminal Court.

The man and woman with two children in strollers accidentally bumped into the Trump supporter while crossing the intersection of Hogan Place and Centre Street just after 4:00 p.m., three bystanders told POLITICO. The female protester, who held a sign that read “I support Trump, do you?” began arguing with the couple before she pulled out a blade approximately 6 inches long and waved it at the family, according to the eye-witnesses.

Court officers, who were standing outside the building, rushed over, pulled out their guns and ordered the woman to drop the knife, the bystanders said. She was arrested without incident.


No one was injured.

“The court officers were standing on the corner and within 20 seconds they were here and she had dropped the knife,” said one bystander who could not be named because of his job. “The woman yelled, ‘Knife, knife’ and the court officers were on the Trump-supporter like Voltron,” the bystander said.

The altercation came after Trump called on supporters to protest the probe and predicted “potential death & destruction” if he is charged for his alleged role in a 2016 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

 

It sounds like the female protester believed she had been intentionally pushed, and had been expecting something to happen like that, given how triggering the type of message she was holding up can often be to people in that type of area.

So it may have been a bit of a misunderstanding.

Of course she was still wrong to do what she did. Sometimes women can get very emotional.
It's not difficult to imagine. Woman accidentally bumps protester woman, protester woman automatically assumes it was intentional, gets angry and says something not nice, the other woman starts getting angry, both because she is being wrongfully accused and likely also because she is being triggered by the pro-Trump message the protester is holding, says something not nice in response, and it escalates. Maybe the father started taking a threatening physical posture to protect his wife from this angry looking woman who was accusing and insulting his wife, and that's when the protester pulled out the knife, sending a message to the man to stay back.

Of course then the media spins this to make it look like the Trump supporting protester was just crazy and violent for no reason and totally deranged.

 

Totally! Baby strollers, presumably with a child inside, always indicate nefarious intent.

 

Fake news. There is only gun violence in the United States. Knives and other weapons don't exist. Guns kill 43,784 babies per second with their 200-round clip assault shoulder stocks....

 

Trump warns of death and destruction if he gets indicted. The lone protestor was pushed and intimidated by anti-protestors, and while she overreacted by waving a knife that she quickly dropped to the ground, I just don't see the connection the O/P is desperately trying to establish.

 

Unless someone has a magic M1, the term is magazine. Clips are used to load ammo into magazines, either fixed or removable.

 

She was pushed? Did that baby reach out and push her so she pulled a knife?

According tot eh story she dropped the knife when law enforcement pulled their guns.

Anytime anyone can be branded a trump supporter who acts badly it's obviously not their fault because they are not responsible for their own actions.... It's the bad orange man's fault

People bump into each other accidentally all the time. To pull a knife out on someone especially in the presence of children is dumb. Good thing they weren't dressed in drag or else righties would actually care about the safety of the children.

Well, I'm trying to imagine how someone walking their child in a stroller, past a protester could "accidentally" bump into them. Most parents would be cautious when coming close to a protester, especially if one was a MAGA one. So, I wonder if they were blind and didn't see someone in their path.

 

Is that creative thinking?

 

Especially since the link said that she was the only protester present and the witness refuses to be named.


This story smells fishier than the lateine door off a shrimp boat.

Since she was the only protest or present it sounds like there's a good possibility that they were using the stroller to purposefully antagonize her to get a reaction
