    The slogan clearly implies that Trp is the embodiment of greatness.
    Not wanting to introduce Godwin's law, when Hitler said the very same thing in the run up to his accession to power there was actual reality behind the need to make Germany great again. His preferred tool was the rally. When I saw the footage of Trump's latest reminder that he is still alive, I thought that all those red MAGA hats reminded me of the Nazi armbands . I would not be surprised if Trump didn't start a youth wing disguised as a sports club.
    Ask yourselves what is fact and what is emotion. The shades will fall from your eyes.

    I probably don't have to.
    My grandparents lived it as one of its victims.
    Hitler wrote it while in prison for treason for trying to seize Munich and use it as a base to overthrow the Weimar Republic.
    Hitler recognised, as most other power seeking tyrants did, the power of telling unsubstantiated opinions in a loud and expansive manner. You speak to a very low standard of understanding of "them and us" , ignore context or the situation in total, convince the audience they are victims and in Hitler's case that someone else is to blame for all of it. That is so easily sold.
    It isn't new. But it is variable in use, nuanced in application throughout history.
    But the common denominator is emotional persuasion. Much more fun and less demanding than facts.

    I dont see the connection between 1920's Germany recently destroyed by WW 1 and further financial issues with the 1929 stock market crash , with your post.
    What does this have to do with free speech in America..

    I question the patriotism of both sides, the entrenched 2 party system has no competition because other parties are scorned by media

    Quite a few posters here question other poster's patriotism all the time. I can't name anyone but we all know it's done.

    And I freely admit to doing it to Trumpers. I don't think they have much use for basic American principles and don't see how anyone can say they do, given the things they say.

    You're not being specific enough. If a person voted for Trump, does that make them a Trumper? If so, then you've criticized 74+ million Americans and that broad brush can be messy.
