So you, with your highly trained intellect, tell me exactly how the "experts" know how the millions of pounds get here. And while you figure that out, tell me how the "experts that know are unable to stop it. It doesn't take a ten cent word like "modicum" to figure out that they "don't know". It just stands to reason that the cartels drive across the border in areas where there is no security, cars, trucks and mules are not inspected. Even the "experts" admit that most illegal contraband (including "sex trafficking" comes across the Arizona border. Now if you would do a "modicum" of research, you'd know Arizona has miles and miles of unprotected border that is accessible to illegal activity. So much activity, their trash and empty bottles are strewn throughout the land. You have been indoctrinated in your thinking by the left stream media. Expand your mind please.

Playing Gotcha is fun, but the important question here is whether or not President Phone & Pen actually violated the Constitution and whether or not Trump will be violating it when he moves to appropriate additional funds to the construction of more border barriers. I don't know the context of this tweet but I suspect the answer in both cases will be no.

 

Yes, Trump was erected so we won't have Hillary teh president. We did not have high expectations of him to begin with, but he has far exceeded our expectations. So what if he is "reality tv show carnival barker"? He's doing what he' promised to do, and we (Conservatives) like it.

I like your solution....but that is not what we do. I'd also like to take 22 million illegals here and a good many of them steal identities, and live off social programs, and deport them whenever discovered. We don't need to hunt them down. Just like any outstanding warrant, deport them when found. Second violation will be a felony. They can then spend 2 years supervised cleaning up our forests. Those that have been released and don't show up for their court date......they do time and then, deport. We don't do any of that.....but if we did, I'd be willing to give dreamers a chance, but not the ones that brought them here. This is why our immigration system is "broken". We don't enforce our laws. Elitists want so badly to undermine our sovereignty at any cost to make us into a socialist globalist nation.

He said drugs coming across the southern border don’t come through official ports of entry (not true), that El Paso, Texas, was dangerous before the construction of a wall (not true) and that women are being trafficked across the unguarded portions of the border (no evidence exists of this). Trump also disputed studies that have found undocumented immigrants commit crimes at a lower rate than native-born citizens.

I also found it hilarious that he started his speech on a national emergency declaration to fund a border wall by talking about North Korea and Russia

 

I see, despite the resources of the DEA ,and despite the fact that they literally track drug movements across the globe because you can't fathom how they can come to their conclusions they must be wrong. Despite the fact you have absolutely NOTHING back up your position. You just know it.

It is telling that nothing Obama did ever created the kind of constitutional crisis that Trump is now creating with this lunacy of his. As obstructionist and eager to oppose Obama as the Republicans were, they never had something anywhere near this bad to act on. Yet, now that their guy is doing it, they mostly just fall in line and acquiesce. That is already a partisan breakdown of the system of checks and balances this form of government was meant to have.

I don't know how the Constitution in particular defines what is and is not an emergency, and I think that's where the crux of the matter lies. This is why it will have to go to the courts. What a mess.
