    Why?

Why would rules for the virus in NYC be the same as rural Montana?

Also, didn't several left wing democrat governors express their desire to disallow Trump from making those decisions?

Also, isn't the economy around the global in the worst shape as a result of the global pandemic?

Fact. The left is using a pandemic for electioneering and partisan game. Nothing more. Nothing less.

    Exactly.

The families of Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan no longer have to live with the stain of being related to the Worst President Ever.

That honor is now reserved for Trump's Family.

(As to the OP, of course Trump is leaving with an historically bad record).

If I were you, I would hide.

    You have a short memory.

You were one of those who, in early April, mocked the scientists who predicted that the virus would kill at least 180,000 Americans in 2020.

Trump lied to Americans about the seriousness of this pandemic, and that's one of the reasons he got kicked out.

    Spot on.

So, if Joe "hysterical xenophobia" Biden had been president, all 315,000 lives would have been saved.

    Got it.

Have you seen how other Western countries have done compared to the US?

In April, Trumpsters like you were laughing at scientists who predicted that the virus would kill 180,000 Americans in one year.

How many deaths are we at today?

Trump's management of this pandemic is an appalling disaster and the example not to be followed for all future POTUS.

The notion that Biden or the Democrats would have done any better is not credible. They would not have wanted to shut down the economy any more than Trump did. Remember Nancy Pelosi inviting everyone to come to Chinatown to shop and enjoy themselves? And Biden used the travel shutdown to criticize Trump.

When we first learned of Covid, nobody understood it - not the Democrats, not the Republicans - nobody - not even the experts. Other Asian flues have come and gone, ya know? No big deal.

Well, it was a big deal, but by the time we realized it, (no thanks to China, btw) it was too late.

By that time it was coming in to the U.S. from China and from Europe.

There are many reasons why the spread could not be contained. Our concentration of people in cities, our culture, being the world's center of commerce, the fact that we travel and people travel to the U.S., and our lack of experience with anything like this. All of those factors played a part and no presidential administration could have stopped it.

Yes, Trump said some dumb things along the way.

But this virus was going to run its course through our population regardless, for all those reasons I mentioned.

Were this all in reverse politically, the Republicans would have blamed the Democrat president for it, and they would have just won the election. It's a good tactic for persuading sheep.

I'm an Independent. I see things without the Republican or Democratic filter. It's a nice view too.

I don't regret missing the wars she wanted us in.

And she wouldn't have done one bit better than anyone else at stopping Covid from doing its thing.

    @Hoosier8
Actually, Hoosier has a good point.

If Trump had taken draconian measures at first sight of this virus, when we all neither understood it or feared it, the left would have gone crazy, and the right wouldn't have supported them either.

    Hindsight is 20/20. Fact.

    81 million voters think otherwise.

Early February, Trump described to Woodward the enormous danger of the virus and the havoc it would wreak in the country.

    On tape.

Three weeks later, he told the media that the virus would go away on its own with the warm weather....

    Criminal behavior.

All heads of state who have taken COVID lightly will pay a political price.

    Trump has paid his.

No surprise that a right-wing socialist like Plutocratic Socialist Donnie would screw-up the economy. Economically Illiterate Donnie, like all right-wing socialists, fail to understand the importance of demand in a supply-and-demand economy. And why is it that poorly educated American-hating bigots like the drug addict, Rush Limbaugh, refer to the Democratic Party as the Democrat Party?

    Other countries have.

Isn't the USA strong enough ?

Unity from the top, quarantine as needed, social distancing and mask wearing.

The USA would have saved Trillions and 315,000 American's Lives

Some if not most have had a second wave of infections

However no way near as the USA under Trump who mishandled the Virus response

I know you fear terribly a 99.9x% survival rate after the 'experts' said it would kill 2 million but it sucks to live in fear so I wish you the best.

My fear level has greatly decreased since November 4th.

You and your peers have been warned that Trump will be defeated in large part because of the management of the pandemic.

    You laughed.

    Are you still laughing today?
