Of course not all new employees are hired to just collect taxes, but also answer phones because currently one Customer Service rep answers 16 000 calls, and if you ever called the IRS, you know they put you on hold forever. They also need to modernize their computer systems. They know how much they audit, and how much unpaid taxes they discover, and they know many audits they could perform it they had the resources (human and automated), so they can come up with the estimate based on that data.

Ironic considering that is exactly what Democrats are doing and have been doing. For instance, they are currently going after Trumps taxes in order to "determine how the IRS audits Presidents". Never mind the fact that they have a current President that would probably be more forth coming in giving his taxes to them (or would he?) making it to where they didn't have to fight all those legal battles. Also never mind that determining how the IRS audits of Presidents can be found out without looking at ANY Presidents private tax filings. After all, they're looking at the "how" aren't they? At least that is what they say....

 

That's why I think Trump's "team" organized some form of cheating in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
