He's going to start a tv show called "Campaign", and it will be an ongoing attempt by him to regain the Presidency His first big show in his new Network will be Alex Jones, then Dobbs, Hannity all of 'em. Who thinks he's doing this?
You get Covid! You get Covid! Everybody gets Covid! But seriously. Yeah, I absolutely believe he will start a news organization to compete with Fox. Maybe he’ll buy/partner with OAN.
I hope he picks a snappy name for his new organisation. FAKE NEWS springs to mind. ...or should it be Fake Tan News.
Sure. A competing digital media network (not television) seems very likely, but it's not to regain the Presidency. It's another of Trump's entrepreneurial ideas. This sounds about right, and wouldn't be unexpected... https://www.axios.com/trump-fox-new...tor-25afddee-144d-4820-8ed4-9eb0ffa42420.html
Long form podcasting on popular channels is already getting more views than all the television political network shows. Television is about to become obsolete as a medium. I just checked former Senator and presidential candidate Ron Paul's channel. He's got a quarter million subscribers. I imagine a Trump Channel will have tens of millions.
Once I got back online and got a Roku I haven't watched network TV for close to a year and ain't missed it for a micro-second. If Trump wants to go in that direction he'll have an audience. I go back to when there were 3 broadcast channels and I was the family's remote.
The alternative government is already a work in process, through critical race theory education and by the unelected administrators being placed in major institutions and corporations. No one has to take over the government if they take over our culture through industry and education. Even our basic fundamental acceptance of knowledge and scientific theories are being challenged today as nothing more than oppressive "whiteness colonialism", and the tenants of the Enlightenment Period are being challenged as a false social construct of privilege. Math is not math, and science is not science. 2+2 = 5. Trump is standing against that. Kamala Harris stands in support.
Yes, I know what you mean. I don't think it's so simplistic to call it a left wing overtake though. The collective consciousness of the people pushes things one way or another, or around in circles From my more centrist vantagepoint I see two cultures aggressively trying to stifle each other instead of learning to get along. One of them thinks that they represent the "true, America " of traditional values, the other a fair, compassionate, inclusive America. My point is that I think that it's bottom up as much as top down, if you know what I mean by that.. Exactly what Trump did this week?
I think its a great idea for a man who has no hands on experience in the industry, financial issues and a long line of products that failed miserably. Go for it!
He was Executive Producer at NBC for his own show, The Apprentice, which was among the most highly rated shows for several years. No experience? I would expect that producing a podcast is much simpler than being a producer with NBC, and financially requires very little risk.
Trump will do something to shore up his narcissistic driven ego. What form that will take is unpredictable.
Trump may decide to do something like this -- especially if he's still as angry about the election in a few months as he is right now. It would probably be better for him if he simply returned full-time to the business world and made back a few of those billions he lost while fighting 'the swamp' in a more-or-less futile attempt to right all the "wrongs" in this country. Too bad, Donald... the 'swamp' won! Going forward, Republicans will want new faces, and new ideas -- and hope that somehow they can come up with something that Americans will want more than "free stuff".... . "Yeah? And so what do you think THAT would be...?!"
That is actually a rather intriguing idea for after he finishes his term in 2024...... http://www.politicalforum.com/index...iracle-channel-and-lethbridge-alberta.545868/
He does have a major fan base in the nation of Israel ........ so....... in 2024 perhaps...... http://www.politicalforum.com/index...on-could-bring-world-out-of-recession.406872/
Actually, Trump doing a reality TV show about campaigning for President is exactly what we need. It might inspire more people to run for public office.
I've been joking(?) with my wife that he'll still do things like State of the Union addresses and print out copies of legislation to decide whether or not he'll sign.
Uh, the next Oprah ?? Well, he'd need brains, business smarts, thoughtfulness, wit, maturity, self control, dignity................OK, he's already failed
Trump will find he no longer needs the White House to get the fawning adoration and attention he so desires. He'll make threats about wanting to run again, but his followers already love him and will already pay a bunch of attention to him regardless if he sits in the Oval Office ever again. And it will be a lot less stressful for him to go that route than it would be to run again. He doesn't care about the country or principles or any of that stuff. It is, and has always been, singularly about the attention seeking. He no longer needs the White House to do it.
According to his Psychologist niece's book, however, there may be another factor. All of the Trumps who were children of Trump's father were trained to believe that in any of their dealings with others they must always win, and they were severely punished if they did not. You have to wonder at the make up of anyone who would advise such a severely disturbed individual as that must result in to go into politics at all, but I guess that's modern Republicanism for you.
