Actually that depends on whether or not the Left remains in control of this nation's educational systems; which as the Dem Party continues to flame out, is increasingly unlikely.

It looks like an impeachment isn't official until the referral is sent to the senate. So as of now, Trump hasn't been impeached.

    Ha!

Until it is sent to the senate in a formal process there is no actual impeachment. Study harder.

It's essentially a dog and pony show, but no one is happy with that. And once the Squad realizes the futility of it, they'll be unhappy too. The best and trollish thing Trump and McConnell can do now is ignore it. Like "Okay.....zzzzzz."

Quit your grousing. If righty wants to keep his/her head in the sand fine by me. Trumps name is now synonymous with corruption and impeachment. That's the overriding message for 2020. Vigorous Political arguments as to whether Trump was worthy of impeachment will ensue throughout the election year but when the dust settles one fact will not go away . Corrupt Trump was impeached while still being investigated.

Your stigma is not even a stigma on Trump until you send it. It's more like a stigma on the House. As Rep Collins said:

"The clock and the calendar is unfavorable." It is indeed. What a pathetic disgrace by the House Speaker.

Again, who are these mystery people aside from leftists? Independents -- you know the group that will actually decide who becomes president? -- are against impeachment. So what mystery group ASIDE from already Kool-aid gulping leftists are going to consider Trump synonymous with corruption and impeachment? Give us a hint at least.

purely partisan vote. The vote to reject impeachment was not partisan at all. :)

You think they'll leave Trump? I guess that is a possibility but isn't another that it energizes his base further?

Yep, it actually is the way it works. But never fear, eventually Nancy will send it along; because she has no choice.

Articles of impeachment have been drawn and that fact will never go away.

Why do you assume Bolton and Mulvaney's testimony will incriminate trump?

He faces zero risk of removal until the articles get delivered, but he is still impeached.

Any jackass -- the wholly appropriate Dem Party emblem -- can draw up articles of impeachment and get them passed along strictly partisan lines . . . and did. But until it gets formally sent to the senate it remains merely a statement of intent.

Ted Cruz was funny. He said Pelosi is threatening not to refer the impeachment to the senate unless the senate runs the trial her way. So Cruz's response is, "Ok, Nancy. Then don't send it.".
