You got me, lad; Ingliz is not my first language, not even a second. But I can fluently send you where the sun doesn't shine in 10 languages and cuss at you in a few more. Up for a challenge? :juggle:

Because it has been going on as far back as 2017 because of leaks in the WH.

    https://www.politico.com/news/2019/10/01/white-house-trump-leaks-code-015194

The fact that the handling of this call was not unusual and the transcript was released by the WH (and the WB report), makes the whole "cover up" narrative a bit of a stretch to say the least.

    As your linked article notes,

"That highly classified system is being newly scrutinized in light of a whistleblower complaint
alleging that national security officials used the system—meant for storing information classified
at the highest level — to conceal politically embarrassing conversations, including a phone call
with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on July 25 in which President Donald Trump urged
Zelensky to investigate his political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden and his son.
If hiding politically embarrassing material, rather than protecting national security secrets, was the
motive, experts and former officials said, it would be an abuse of the codeword system."

How about a little bit of both? Also, I have 2016 to again look forward to.

A wall is not effected by politics. It stands until torn down. Our politicians have failed to secure our border, and it’s their job. The professionals on the border have asked for help. The wall was part of it. We either help them or not. I vote help them. You?

Sorry but I’m not really here today to rehash stuff that has been debated to death. My point today was simple. The democrats are being played. If I’m wrong you are free to call me on it when it’s over. I’ve used the same name since I got here 10 years ago.

That will be the task of the candidate who wins the highly competitive Democratic Primary and his/her campaign staff and media consultants. The left right center left crap is overrated. Whichever candidate is nominated needs to convey their vision to ALL Americans and explain why it will be good for them and their children and their parents.

I for one don’t buy into this left vs right paradigm. I hope that we can have a contest between two people of integrity who respect eachother and realize that they are both patriotic Americans who both want the best for their country. Obama vs McCain was like that. So was Obama vs Romney, Reagan vs Carter, Reagan vs Mondale, Clinton vs Dole, Nixon vs Humphrey, Nixon vs Kennedy...

I remember all of those contests and neither side were hysterically upset after they were decided. Hopefully the GOP will dump Trump and choose another qualified and viable choice so we can all experience a great election again. We’ve all had enough of ugly turd throwing hate fests which will be a certainty if Trump is involved. This is my wish for America, we can do a lot better and we deserve a lot better.

I would have voted Republican again. I did for 35 years. I just won't vote for Trump.

    Yep.
McConnell won't even try to pass anything without it being written by Trump, and of course Trump doesn't know how to that.

You are a very smart girl Margot. It’s really hard to break through the concrete skulls of these Ditto Heads. I am heading down to Cerritos to see the Great Emmylou Harris, another of the many American treasures tonight. Cheers

The GOP will not dump Trump, nor should they. Trump is polling 3 points higher than Obama at the same point in his Presidency.

Like it or not, people like Trump.

The GOP might be forced to dump Trump. I hope they do. He is an embarrassment. However I would not be surprised if he runs next year.

Love you.. Its good to see someone who has been around a while. Trump used to crash charity galas, make a scene about giving a big donation and then NOT donating a dime.. He's a churlish moron.

I think the left is stupid enough to think that if it just acts bad enough long enough, Trump and the right will beg them, kiss their asses and accept their tyranny to shut them up. Virtually identical behavior to a rotten spoiled brat throwing a tantrum on the floor in the grocery store, thinking that among other things his mother won't swat his sorry ass in public. If that is a child of liberals, he might get away with it.
IF he is a child of conservatives- Not A Chance. The dems have lost control of themselves- and many dem voters are appalled and distancing themselves from the wackos more each day.

The current situation is a sort of vacuum for them. They have no viable leadership or candidates. One that might have a chance of being elected are offensive to the radical wackos that have seized focus of the party, and would be shot down by their own people. So- they have nothing. No real plans, no candidates, no common sense or ability to make sound arguments- and they have pulled so many scams that even the most dedicated dems know they have zero integrity. The only thing left is rants and threats and the pretense of righteousness, which they excel in- but that is hardly presidential material.

It's sad to see a once legitimate political party rot from the inside, but it is. Perhaps something decent will arise to take it's place.

I find it puzzling why Trump supporters steadfastly hang on to a belief that impeachment will somehow hurt Democrats. Perhaps they believe it would be a replay of Clinton who's popularity increased after he was, in fact, impeached. There is a little difference here, Clinton lied to the grand jury about a BJ (who wouldn't). Trump has lied, schemed, committed criminal acts, involved foreign government in our elections, and repeatedly put his personal interests ahead of America's. A lot of people didn't like Clinton but legions people hate Trump's guts. Clinton was an unsavory man, Trump is a criminal.

Okay, so there's the difference. Now, why would impeachment of Trump hurt Democrats. Recent polling argue against that belief, Trumps approval numbers have sagged even further in the last couple of weeks. When things started getting hot for Trump the DJIA rose. When Trump added more tariffs on the EU and the manufacturing index tanked the DJIA shed another thousand points. These aren't opinions, just dull facts.

If you notice, Trump's bellicose invitation to Democrats to 'go ahead and start an impeachment investigation' has blown up on him and he is running scared. I honestly don't know if Trump is capable of thinking beyond next week, but if he has, he will have noticed that Clinton has an asterisk next to his presidency. An indelible black mark. Clinton was impeached. So, what does the future holed for the little boy in the White House? It's really not that hard to project.

Most testimony will become public, not held behind close doors. Public testimony and additional revelations during an impeachment process will fatally damage Trump's chances for 2020. A lot of people surrounding Trump; Barr, Pompeo, Guiliani, Pence, and others will be permanently scarred and/or resign. A lot of Trump's pals will head for the hills as things start heating up around them. Trump will be impeached. What happens in the Senate largely depends nonpublic reaction to unfolding revelations. Regardless, Trump's ignominious political career is over.

We all kicked around in the same neighborhood. And back then, Snoop Dog was just a little tike living in the apartments across from my high school; doing little drug deals with his Tonka trucks.
