I'm not a social media user but I went to Truth Social, not to post anything, but just to check it out. Curiously, there appears to be no way for a computer user to access the site. The only path to the site appears to be by downloading an app for an Iphone. I don't allow Apple products in my house. They reject computer users? What are these people thinking?

A browser is a browser. There is no extra work in allowing any browser to use the site. Even if it is formatted for a cell phone, you should still be able to read the site with a PC. Bizarre. I remember some years ago a company formatted their site for a tablet. The site failed. No surprise. But the owners wouldn't change. They just gave up. My site allows any device to access it with the proper formatting. Almost every site works that way.

"Truth Social" is the ideal platform for anyone wishing to screech "Fire!" in a crowded theater and/or wallow in petty vendettas while drooling on a keyboard..

It appears to be following the trajectory of the Loser's many other failed ventures: Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump Casinos, Trump: The Game, Trump Magazine, Trump Steaks, GoTrump.com, Trump University, Trump Mortgage, Trump: The Presidency, Trump: The Landslide, 45office.com, From the Desk of Donald J. Trump, Trump: Top Secrets Rummage Sales, etc., etc., etc.

The big difference between a browser and an app is the ability of the creator's to track you usage and show you ads. More and more social media are trying to force people to use the apps instead of a desktop browser. Keep in mind these apps and sites are free so tracking your info and showing you ads is the only way they generate revenue. The problem with Truth Social is they have support for IOS users and not Android. Approximately 70% of mobile users use android whereas IOS only controls 28% of the market. They are missing out on a huge part of the market.

Why do I get the impression that the entire thing was created in a way that Trump knew how and could use it?

All true. But it is perfectly possible to show ads to people using browsers. The Truth Social site, which I am not allowed to access, is incompetently designed and implemented. It deserves to fail.
