Tucker was right. NSA illegally unmasked him.

In a non-denial "denial", the NSA has now admitted it illegally unmasked Tucker Carlson.

Instead, the nation’s top electronic spy agency found that Carlson was mentioned in communications between third parties and his name was subsequently revealed through “unmasking,” a process in which relevant government officials can request the identities of American citizens in intelligence reports to be divulged provided there is an official reason, such as helping them make sense of the intelligence documents they are reviewing.

Tucker is not the only one. We should not be surprised. Those in power continue do whatever gains them power. Where is the Congress oversight?

I have seen lawyers on TV say it's illegal to reveal an American citizen's name when a wire tap listens in to a foreign conversation, except under rare circumstances. I have no proof, only going by my memory. As I understand it, Tucker was trying to obtain an interview with Putin, which is SOP for those in the news business. So when the feds listened in they captured Tucker's side of the conversation and his emails, then they leaked his name in an effort to smear him. Colluding with the Russians, ala Trump, sounds familiar and has no merit. Tucker has proof positive the feds captured his emails and has every right to expose the illegal activity of our spy government. Tucker is not a second class citizen nor is he a threat to our nation. Just the opposite.

 

Point me to where there is proof that feds leaked Tucker's name? What were they intent on gaining from this leak?

 

You have to understand if the feds have the capability to capture your conversations, they will. It's just like people who are on a telephone party line and others would listen in to their calls. Human nature. Plus if the feds oppose you politically they will look for any dirt on you they can find. Human nature. Tucker was alerted to this illegal activity by a whistleblower in the government who supplied him with some of the content of his emails -- that's solid proof. Forget that it's Tucker, and don't think it's just one person, but this is illegal for our government to spy on a citizen, period. We need Congress or Biden to shake up our spying departments. Remember when Hoover had the FBI tap into MLK's phones. That was wrong. And for sure Hoover tapped into many president's phones as a way to hold on to his job and power. So no actual proof other than Carlson's word then. Carlson can be his own whistleblower based on what I quoted.

The fact that he knew what he was doing and he would be unmasked because of the other party and the content hence context. Unless Tucker is a total fool he do not know the contact would be under US surveillance. He leaked this to get attention and play the victim and fleece those he can influence.

Of course, there’s a game of semantics going on here by the NSA. They’re spying on us ALL THE TIME. They just aren’t supposed to know our identities when they’re reading your email without a warrant.
