She's a fence sitting coward to have voted present instead of voting against.

Because they are the latest examples of foreign policy and military interventionism.

Trump is a strong, and direct leader while Obama was a weak, and short sighted one.

In my opinion this vote was one of conscience not party discipline. I thus was prepared to forgive Dems for either a yes or a no just as I will in the Senate. The only vote that cannot represent one's conscience - is 'present' It was a definite mistake.

Neither Ying nor Yang will get anywhere near a Democratic Party nomination.

A POTUS can legally order US mlitary forces to respond to an imminent threat. The problem is that Trump has no credibility therefore just because Trump says there was or is an imminent threat there is history that says Trump lacks credibility.

    You mean 2,800 to 1.

Trump has no requirement to notify congress-and again nor are they in session.

He's currently moving amphibious assault ships to the region from north Africa.

And again-no need to notify congress of anything.

Again terrorist groups which congress authorized military action, it's even mentioned in the link you provided

"Mr. Obama has justified the attacks under his commander in chief powers and under the 2001 resolution authorizing force against al Qaeda"

If there is any action that Obama did that would be comparable, it would be his actions in Libya, which was an ongoing NATO conflict. The UK and France established authorization from their congress/parliament, but the US skipped that process.

I mean, they've been doing some stupid **** over the last 18 months. They thought Obama was president and they were wrong.

I'm wondering how they mob even got into the embassy. Real bullets are much more motivating.

Let me elaborate my position clearly for my fellow Americans:

    1) The Iranian forces invaded the sovereign territory of Iraq. Already in of itself, this was an act of aggression. But in attacking the US Embassy, they added to that aggression and attacked US territory. We were in the right to defend ourselves, and to take all measures to prevent future attacks.

2)Such as, the defeat or the capture of enemy forces, such as the men that were killed in the attack. Like some Republicans said, every American if CIC should pull that trigger.

    3) But because of the high value of the enemy we successfully took out, we are right to expect and anticipate that Iranian aggression will not be deterred, it will increase. The inevitable outcome, is to remove the Ayotallah's and their political puppet of a 'President' from power. They'd seized power illegally during the Carter hostage crisis.

This war was inevitable, and frankly long overdue. I hope the Pentagon isn't delusioned about the state of affairs.

The ill concieved war powers act is going to become a mill stone around the neck of our country. A POTUS should advise the leaders of Congress from both parties and they do not have to be session for a POTUS to do the right thing. Of course we do not have a POTUS right now do we, we have an IMPOTUS.

Watch the video. The idiots attacked the Green Zone and the US Embassy. It was not an "imminent threat" of an attack it was an attack. The amazing thing is that Soleimani was in Iraq. He was supposed to be smarter than that. Trump is on firm legal ground.

Would it be a good thing for the US to remove Iran as a major power the ME? I don't think so but our entire military industrial complex has been eager to destroy Iran since they occupied our embassy.

Iran should have avoided contact with the US especially after Trump announced his intention to withdraw. Instead Soleimani aggressively challenged the USG and its allies. A foolish error probably based on bad intelligence about Trump.

Sure. We should let Iran just keep killing people and give them pallets of cash every once in a while.

    I'm sure that will work.

Maybe, but they wouldn't be Americans. And there would be no cash. Whats that? A pragmatic foreign policy? I'll take it.

I said before that this terrorist so caked Iraniac General should have met his death long ago but I stand by my position that Trump did this because Trump Ned's to get the focus off impeachment. I base my opinion on the behavior pattern of the Trumpocity. As I said before Trump did not make a big deal out of Hunter Biden before Joe became a potention opponent. Trump did nor give two schiest until it there was somwthing that helps the Trumpocity. Putin is a corrupt dictator and murderer but Trumpov kisses Putin's butt and does it in full view of the world.

Yang doesn't hate capitalists, and seems to respect parts of the Constitution, no way he could ever be the Democrat nominee...

Trump's support has strengthened since the DP launched it's impeachment show.
Trump has always loved show business. ;-)
