Turkey bans cram schools

    In 2014, Turkey passed a law banning private cram schools. The prime minister, Erdogan, said that private cram schools give students from rich city families an unfair advantage, and that state schools were "good enough".

    (However, the ban might have actually had more to do with the fact that Erdogan's political rival, Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, operated a large number of private cram schools across the country)

    Just ban standardized testing, in every country.
