so apparently turkey wants PKK to lay its arms down . The ETA from Spain group recently gave up its armed struggle for an independent homeland in Basque region. Some observers in Turkey say the Turkish government wants to do the same with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) to force it to give up armed struggle. It’s very hard for that to happen to the PKK. In the ETA’s (Basque) region, they have autonomy, and their own language, flag and Parliament. But how can the PKK lay down arms when it has none of that !!?? . So, I think it is hard to see the PKK do the same as ETA did.

In Amed, Sirnak and Hakkari, there were indeed an historical Kurdish presence. But Wan, for instance, was an Armenian city. Why Kurds are majority there, is because of the Turkish policy towards Armenians and nothing else.

You can't claim a land just because you're majority there though. Some places in Germany, the Turks are majority. So your logic is utterly absurd. What the Kurds are claiming is that those lands were the historical Kurdish lands, many of which, though, have nothing to do with Kurdishness historically.

wan is totally kurdish and has been for centuries now , yes there were Armenians there but turkey kicked them out and they are no longer even a minority , how can they claim to the lands now ? and like you said if you are a majority in the region you can claim autonomy or self rules .... thats what N.kurdistan is trying to do , not take Turkish lands or Armenian lands in Armenia .

and no we are talking about kurdistan not germany , also there are few million kurds in Istanbul but it is not kurdish and they have to pack up and leave to the kurdish region .

when it comes to independence once turkey Finlay decides to be democratic we are open to all those who think we are occupying their lands :) including Armenians , but remember a part of Armenia is also kurdish , called red kurdistan and was destroyed in 1929 (the green part)..

to me it works like this , if a land is lost to a different nation that yours then you can put claims on it , i give you an example , in KRG - Kirkuk there is a sub - disctric called Hawija , it is kurdish but now lost to arabs , so what ou suggest take over kick arabs out and replace with kurds ? no we wont do that , its lost and there is nothing kurds can do about it .... the same goes to wan , however the red kurdistan in Armenia , even though has no autonomy it is not lost kurds are still majority there .

alen this is wrong move, you need allies and you have more then enough foes...
Armenians can be your best friends or your worst nightmare ask the turks... kurdistan in 1929 was not destroyed by Armenians, it was soviet government and even them(communists) i m sure, had nothing personal
