Your antisemitic colors Judge. Sometimes you restrain yourself. You must be getting overconfident in Israels...ooops Im mean the zionist regimes demise.

Hamas has never attacked anyone? And me comparing a possible provokation by yet another growingly Islamist entity to Hamas changes my past references to the Gaza terrorists? No. Maybe you misread what I typed. I suppose Hizbollah also has never attacked anyone?

Im sure you do. Folks like you daydream about such things.

Why do you hate me simply because you think that I'm a Jew, and why am I the target of your hatred? Is not the topic here the Turkish navy? Where does the title say "MrRelevant's Jew-bashing"?

You said that Hamas is like Turkey and Turkey has not attacked anyone, unlike Israel. Your political position seems to be heavily clouded with racist hatred.

Actually, I read the writings of economists on the matter, and they make some pretty good points.

    A white, snobby western european.
Father to 1 or 2 kids at most.
His life is full of ordinary, pre planned, boring routine
He is infected with the capitalist dream, a dream that unfortunately we are all infected with.
    the white western european,
he cant even sun bath, because his skin is so pale, its hard to tell if he is alive or not.
    the white western european,
when he travels nations like India or Tunisia, he acts as if he traveled to another universe, he is extremely cautious as if anyone cares about his boring western arse.
    the white western european,
he is the reason why every 1 of 5 africans are child soldiers, he is the reason of slavery, his ancestors sucked the life out of Africa and then enslaved them- and then freed them. how humane.
    the white western european,
he is always good, he is always the righteous one, he wants to be admired, well admired for what someone may ask, for colonizing the entire world?
for wiping out the entire native south american civilizations or for the jewish genocide?
    the white western european,
beware humanity! he is the greatest obstacle to a truly free, peaceful world.

*there are many peaceful westerners that do not fall into this category, some of the sentences(like father to 2 kids the most) is only a figure of speech, it does not mean to generalize.

I agree that some Westerners have unlogical views towards Turkey, and I don't support their arguments. Personally, I have no issue with Turkey being a part of the EU, but if it were to reconsider such, it should wait until the current financial crisis gets resolved.

Could this be the re-birth of the Ottoman Empire?

I'd like to see Turkey step up and take an active role in leadership in the Middle East!

NO.. Its not as rebirth of the Ottoman Empire..

Turkey is taking a sober and constructive position in ME leadership.... and, they are actively planning oil and gas joint ventures with Egypt.

    Its all good.

when it comes to rescuing western trade ships in Somalia, a call to Turkey and Turkish Navy is there to protect the trade, civilian ships.
when it comes to rescuing south koreans, Turkey was there to fight side by side with the westerners.
when it comes to Kosovo, Turkish ground forces are there to ensure security and stability.(KFOR)
when it comes Bosnia-Serbia war, Turkey provies F-16 squadrons and they play their part in operation Deny Flight to control the airspace over former Republic of Yugoslavia.
From Gabon to Albania, Macedonia to Lebanon(UNIFIL) Turkey was involved actively in any international peacekeeping duty that was given to her.

I can honestly go on and on about the involvement of Turkish Armed forces around the globe, it was one of the biggest muscle powers of the west, but the western world only used Turkey for our military power, although we provide all these assistance to NATO and U.N, we suddenly were considered as outsiders when it comes to EU.
well, Turkey is tired of this, Turkey feel its unfair and we are sick of this treatment. GAME OVER.
There fore, we shall seek friendship and military alliances with those that deserves it.

And both yes and no to your question, spotscat, this is not the re-birth of the Ottomans, Turkey respects the independency of middle-east nations, but yes, this is the re-birth of something new.. something new that will transform the whole region to a whole new level.

That makes sense and I think that such is a fair position for Turkey to take. The only thing about Turkey that I don't understand is its position concerning the massacre of Armenians. I find that if the Turkish government was more relaxed on the issue and more willing to talk about it or recognize any wrong-doing by the previous government, then it would be much more difficult for some in the West to argue their case against Turkey.

But those who defeat pirates cannot by definition be aggressors, surely? There is an international obligation to defeat the scumbags, as yiou know.

Nonsense. You insult and condemn me simply because you think that I'm a Jew. If such was not the case, then you would have focused on the thread topic instead of tossing around hostile accusations while wading in unknown waters.

The problem is that their arguments are very convincing and reasonable. I don't see how Israel can trade without having any friends to trade with. Turkey, on the other hand, gets to trade with everyone that Israel can't trade with.

1)Technically, it was not Turkey that did it, it was the Ottomans, because the declaration of Turkish republic is 1923, however these events were in 1915.

2)The definition of a genocide is systematic ethnic cleansing of a certain ethnic group- when jews were killed for example is a good example of this- Hitler did not only kill the jews in Frankfurt and Berlin and left out the ones in Poland- without any discrimination he wanted to kill them all- now that is a genocide by the definition. however what happened to the Armenians(and i could write pages about that too but really- this is not the place) was not systematic cleansing, Armenians in eastern anatolian provinces suffered and died however Armenian citizens in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir were not harmed, i have several Armenian-Turks in my city, Istanbul, and their grandfathers and fathers were not harmed at all, so this cannot be called a genocide.

3)What France did to Algerians, What Spanish did in South America, What USA did against Native Americans, etc..etc.. Everybody have blood on their hands so i can conclude this message with this quote from Jesus:

Let Him Who is Without Sin Cast the First Stone ... Matt 7:2-5

actually, you should examine the NATO charter again.

NATO will not be obliged if Turkey attempts to run the Israeli naval blockade. That is a recognized act of war.

I know you're bitterly disappointed but maybe next time.

Genocide is defined as "the deliberate and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group".

Only the turks think that it wasn't genocide, the rest of the world names it for what it was.

Nonsense. Lots of genocide from lots of places. Its not about trying to absolve any nation who committed it in the past. Its about recognizing that it happened and that your forefathers did it.

No Judge ,I condemn you because you are phony. You proclaim being an advocate for all,an objective voice of reason but you are not. You have selective advocacy always leaning in one direction.

Because they make stuff people want. They also are healthy consumers. To think one needs to be "friends" with those with whom you do business is incredibly naive. Try and remember the world hardly revolves around the opinions of the Middle East exc for when oil is the issue. Business is business....

Maybe you should read some econ 101 textbooks instead of paid economists.

Jonsa, how many countries in the world recognizes the algerian genocide?
France, the land of good food and music but unfortunately also the land of hypocrisy because they build monuments to honor the death of armenians but not algerians, they do not recognize the algerian deaths as genocide, when an christian dies its a genocide, but when a muslim dies its not? see this is the true western justice for you.
same example could be given to many other nations, so we have an expression in Turkey, you should first clean the dirt that is in your own doorstep first and then ask your neighbors to clean their own.

Greeks are smart, they know the consequences of going into a war with them- their grandfathers will tell all about it to the younger generations and they will remain neutral in a possible conflict- Greece will never risk going into war with Turkey, also trust me when i say this but there is no major hostility left between our people's- Greece is a good neighbor of Turkey.

Insallah Middle-East will flourish once again, Egypt, Turkey and other muslim nations will come together and will not allow the claws of western imperialism to suck the life out of the region anymore.

westerners only wants your oil- nothing else, but Turkey eats like you, prays like you, drinks like you, dances like you, says "I hope so" just the way you do, INSALLAH this reunification will lead all of our people's into a even bigger peaceful and stable era

The Zionists murdered 400 Palestinian children over christmas, 2008/9, along with a thousand other people. According to evidence, and official reports, they used white phosphorus weapons against civilians, gassed civilians in their hiding places and shot them as they emerged, shot women under white flags of truce and deliberately targeted police stations, hospitals, fire-fighters, ambulance personnel and the civic infrastructure of Gaza City. That was just one operation. In recent times you can add to Operation Cast Lead the war crimes of Operation Summer Rains, Operation Autumn Rains, the 2nd Lebanese war , the bombing of facilities in Syria, the murder of Turkish civilians at sea , the murder of Egyptian officers in Egypt, the assassination of a Palestinian civilian in Dubai, numerous weekly killings of Palestinian men, women and children , the theft of their farms, the demolition of their homes, thousands of political arrests and incarcerations without trial, torture, ethnic cleansing by means of cosh, tear gas, batons rounds, bullets, artillery, bombs and even telephone along with the occupation of Palestine, parts of Lebanon and Syria and a total disregard of international and humanitarian law and United Nations resolutions.
Your statement is as contemptible as it is false. Zionist ?
