I don't want him or anyone else censored either.

Only intellectual cowards call for censorship and celebrate it when it happens.

We're dealing with people who think that it is "censorship" to DARE to use speech to address someone else's speech. They ACTUALLY think that free speech means that no one, not even the publisher of their words, should respond, otherwise their "rights" have been violated.

That's the weirdest definition of censorship I've ever seen. Who thinks that?

Then you will criticize Breitbart if they refuse to publish (without response or commentary) my "Breitbart sucks, lol" article? According to your logic, that's censorship.

Everyone calling Twitter's commentary "censorship" . . . including the President and his defenders.

This is the stupidest thing ever, their fact checkers are CNN, who never fact checked their own lies for years about the Russia hoax. Sen. Rubio has said Twitter has now become a publisher, which makes them fair game for defamation lawsuits. Let the lawsuits begin!

    No, that's not censorship.

And that didn't fact check their own Russia hoax lies for years.

Then they're using the term "censorship" incorrectly.

I agree. But, then again, that means that neither is what Twitter is doing.

Yes, but there are plenty of progressives calling for censorship, and they would cheer for it if Trump was censored.

And how does that address Trump's attacks on Twitter's free speech rights . . . or his history of attacking free speech rights?

I wouldn't call Twitter tacking warnings or "fact checks" on Trump's tweets censorship, I'd say it more a matter of an attempt at "narrative control" that reveals Twitter's extreme political bias.

Would you consider this to be a threat of censorship, by your definition?

Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen.

Yes, absolutely. If they went ahead and did that, if they regulated them in a manner which would censor ideas and communication, it would be censorship.

So it's not about Kennedy? Ok, noted.
    What's it about?

Trump's campaign threatened to have the FCC pull the broadcast license of a channel that aired a campaign ad that Trump doesn't like.

    your thoughts?

Do you consider the social media platforms that are totally silencing conservative voices to be engaged in censorship?

Is it a good thing they're doing? Do you like censorship?

It's bad. If it actually happens, it'll be really bad.

    No censorship is good.

Do you agree with the social media platforms that are censoring conservative voices? Is it a good thing?

i think censorship of hate speech, slander and uncivil language is fine....as long as its only done by privately owned media

Is it only this additional censorship you have a problem with or do you dislike the current level of censorship on twitter? Is it only twitter or do you have issues with censorship on other social media? Is the level of censorship on Political Forum acceptable? Youtube?

nope. a private company or platform, such as this very forum you are posting on, can and does censor speech. First amendment only applies to government entities
