""numerous red signs warning that the driver is going the Wrong Way and Do Not Enter" were posted."

Yes. On the ramp. Once he reached the freeway, he made a sharp right turn, and then was driving in the right direction.

    "Kelete then veered left sharply"

If the complaint states this, it's incorrect. The driver didn't veer left sharply, until after he hit the two nutjobs.

Why are you ignoring the fact that he went pass numerous red signs warning that the driver was going the wrong way as if those points are not important?

Why are you accusing me of ignoring something that I have obviously accepted as fact?

I'm just pointing out that despite construction signs, despite "Do Not Enter" signs, despite dozens of signs and warnings, people still occasionally get confused on the highway and drive the wrong way. You keep responding in a way that makes it look like you are ignoring and even arguing against the possibility that the guy was simply confused. I accept both possibilities, that it may have been accidental, or purposeful.

Don't you get it? You must agree with his one narrative. He gets upset if you suggest any possible alternative explanation might exist.

Am I the only one who finds this a bit odd?

First, the city said that there was no way to keel a mob of nutjobs off of the interstate highway.

Now that a nutjob has died, the city says that they'll arrest any nutjob on the interstate.

The protesters were there 19 days in a row yet the driver apparently did not know that they were there is hard to believe. He entered the road the wrong way up an exit ramp passing numerous wrong way signs and Do Not Enter signs and carried on unintentionally is hard to believe. He saw two cars blocking his way and did not slow down was just normal behaviour is hard to believe. He drove on the hard shoulder without slowing down and knowing that there was something happening on the road but meant no threat is hard to believe. Did he intend to run anyone over? Irrelevant. Driving at 60mph knowing that there will be people on that stretch of road is homicide.

Most likely scenario: He was angry that protesters were slowing his daily journey home and he wanted to scare them

Protesting on what probably is at 1:30am the quietest road in the city will cause the least disruption to the local community. Why are they "nutjobs"?

I don't know what was going thru his head. But in the video, he seemed at the last minute to become aware of the crowd of people on the right side of the highway, and he appeared to veer left, away from the crowd.

If he was full of malice and purposely intending to going around all the barricades to mow people over with his car, I would think he would have kept driving away after hitting people, and yet he stopped the car. Why? Was he surprised at what had happened? Or was he getting out of the car to do a victory dance?

To me, it looks like he drove onto the shoulder, in order to go around the cars. I don't think that he even saw the people on the shoulder. He was only steering back onto the proper roadway. Then, he saw the two nutjobs, but by the time he reacted, it was too late.

I don't know what you are wanting. I've already said that the driver is a moron. The nutjobs are just moroner for having been there.

What makes them nutjobs, you ask? They are nutjobs because they are "protesting" something that they have been propagandized into protesting against.

Why should anyone care about the loss of some wife-beating, drugger criminal? Because of his skin color? It's insane.

Sure, in a perfect world, things would have turned out differently. If you truly want that different world, work for forced intervention. The destruction of billions of dollars worth of property does nothing. The disappearance of billions of dollars worth of economic activity does nothing. Those losses only hurt the communities that people falsly claim to be working on behalf of.

It's time for you to wake up and smell reality.
