Covid-19 is worse than 2007. The government righted the ship by bailing out the banks. The impact of the housing crisis was multiplied by the bank liquidity issues that rendered firms bankrupt even though they just needed enough money to keep operating long enough to weather the storm. They had the assets that would make them liquid within a relatively short time frame. Letting things fail was clearly a more disasterous path.

 

No, COVID/lockdown related supply chain SNAFUS and labor shortages are causing the problem. The 'shutting down' of global logistics' chains was a a relatively easy process. Getting them started again and back up to wear they were pre-COVID is another issue. As lock-downs across the world come to an end its simply proving far easier for open retail stores and service providers again than it is for those same business to re-stock. And of course at the same time now that people can go out again there's a rush of customers into stores. Result? Demand exceeds supply (temporarily).

Over the next few months production and distribution should ramp up and consumer spending decline (slightly) as all that pent up demand gets dealt with. So not Biden's fault. It would have happened whoever was in the chair. And that's ignoring the fact that the President's (any President's) ability to initiate policy (any policy) is largely dependent on Congress and the Senate approval in the first place. So you may as well be blaming him for the weather.
