I see those 2015 elections as the decisive moment in all history of UK-EU relations. Therefore I'd like to know who will you Brits vote for!
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
To me it seems the Labor Party and the Liberal Democrats will be the big players in the next UK general election.

This poll is for Brits only.

Why do you say that? All three main parties are pro EU and have no intention of taking us out. But all fool you if you believe Cameron and the Tories' good cop / bad cop pantomime act.

I personally will vote UKIP, but I would be happy to vote Labour if it helped to smash the corrupt and disingenuous "Conservative" party.

Personally, I'll be voting for an individual candidate to be my MP. The party they represent (assuming they do at all) is only one factor in the decision. To be honest, I don't think they should be allowed to have party affiliation on the voting paper so people have to actually know who they're voting for.

You also missed several viable options (Green, BNP and the regional nationalists) not to mention all the less viable ones which at least deserve an "other". The last thing we want here is a drift in to the one and a half party state the US has.

All 3 parties pro-EU? The Tories for ex are something that nobody knows what it is. They seem to be anything depending on how it suits them atm. They are everything and nothing at the same time :D.

I'm sorry if I did that :( But you know... there's only a maximum of 7 or 8 options only. I thought I'd put the ones with the biggest chances to become the majority. Had I put the ones you mention I'm sure others would have said why should they be there instead of other smaller ones of their own preference that are not there and so on so thought I'd just stick with the big ones.

I think it matters because if UKIP wins as the 2nd with just a few seats behind the majority one then they will put a lot of pressure on the majority and all they can in the country won't they?

Can't see the Lib dems doing well which is a shame because they seem to be the most concerned with civil liberties. If the fate of minor coalition parties in Ireland is anything to go by they will suffer most for unpopular actions. I think Labour will probably be back in.

How about the Liberal Democrats? I don't mean to be disrespectful but aren't they green enough? Just wondering why nobody voted with them in recent history... Any idea why?

I am hoping that I won't have to vote for any UK Parliamentary representative in 2015........because I am hoping that we will vote for Scottish Independence in 2014.......and I won't then have to think about it. But if we don't, I will still be voting for the SNP as I have done since I was old enough to vote.and will as long as I can totter along to the polling station. (Not that I'm keen on a fair few of their policies, tbh....but independence is the main issue as far as I am concerned.) But I note you do not offer any other than Unionist/English oriented political parties......so there was no box for me to tick.

Well this is for the UK in any form. The thread is concerned with UK-EU relations rather than Scotland-EU relations but yes now I'm sorry I didn't put SNP as well and a further one to use up all boxes available. But whether Scotland stays in the UK or not these are the parties that are (if they will be) to decide if UK and EU will work closely together after 2014. That is when the brand new EU treaty for political union in Europe will be unveiled for adjustment and adoption by member states. But the opinion in writing you gave is appreciated.

If you want to you could disregard order of events in time and imagine the Scottish Independence Referendum is in 2016 and just pick one option as if you just had only these to vote for. This poll is for British people and their opts about this old debated UK-EU matter and you are British now. So your opinion Oddquine is needed in a theoretical sense.

    Thank you

UKIP currently have NO parliamentary seats, which matches their chance of a significant presence in the next parliament. The LibDems will be decimated, not for their policies but for facilitating the Tories by forming the coalition. The millionaire cabinet are proving to be entirely out of touch with the average Briton's experience. Having no plan "B" their austerity policy is driving us into a third dip into depression, with every prospect of a fourth to follow before the election. The banksters have largely escaped censure, the rich are getting tax breaks while the poor and the disabled on benefits are being harshly treated. Despite the deep unpopularity of the government, the election is Labour's to lose. Ed Miliband can have the sharpest mind, and often score points off Cameron at PMQ's, but he's just not convincing as a leader of the country.

Even if there is a clear referendum result in favour of Scottish independence in 2014, you'll still be part of the UK in 2015. Independence would be a long and drawn out process, both the negotiation before hand and the process itself. It isn't simply flicking a switch.

For a little relevance, this is a lot like the prospect of the UK leaving the EU.

I have to agree with this and it makes pretty depressing reading. I think it's in the bag for Labour, but unfortunately the Lib Dems and UKIP are in an even worse position than the Tories. One possibility is that the Coalition undergoes some sort of fake last minute split before the election in order to salvage some votes for both parties. The Tories would then likely make lots of promises that they have no intention of keeping (and people will believe them as usual) and this would keep them on life support for another four years.

Ah, but if we have voted for Independence, I see no reason to vote in the 2015 election. Would we be going to the bother of having an election in Scotland for a year or so anyway? It strikes me it wouldn't really be fair to maybe have our MPs putting in a UK Government, as they have a couple of times in the past at times of close elections, and then a year later bugger off to be independent and leave the rUK to it with maybe a Government they didn't elect!

If my only options in Scotland were UK parties, I'd likely become, for the first time, a non-voter. If I was resident in and voting in England, given my preferences re membership of the EU......I'd likely go for either UKIP, as they are more for a straight in or out, and not just dickering around the edges and hoping nobody understands that a "better" deal, doesn't always look better when the details are spelled out, as is the Tory option. So I'd vote UKIP if I thought they had a snowball's chance in hell of getting in in the area in which I am theoretically living..and if they don't look as if they will.......I'd vote Tory on the premise that any referendum on the EU in which I can vote NO is better than none at all.

Just as in 2016, if we are electing our first real Scottish Government, I'll be voting for any party which promises, in their manifesto, an early referendum on EU membership...(and a promise to stop building windmills on Scottish soil as well would be the icing on my cake of voting No to the EU!)

There are no good predictions to be made mid term.

The next election might either be won by the Conservatives or Labour. The Lib Dems will be decimated either way and if the Conservatives show a strong stance on Europe then so might UKIP.

I think Labour are not showing as well as they should be in mid term but far to many things can happen in the next two years t be sure on anything.

I think there is little point voting anything but either conservative or labour anything else is a wasted vote and Ill never forgive Labour for their immigration policies even though I voted for Blair twice.

There is no chance that Scotland will vote to be independent.

The government of 2015 will be either Conservative or Labour. The libdems will lose seats and UKIP will still not get any. The Greens might keep their seat.

There is over 2 years until the election. If there is a recovery all bets are off.

Every morning before I begin my day I watch this video. It gives me strength.

This break will shake a thousand years of British history.
    The world itself will shake.

It's more than gas & oil. There's more to Scotland than eye meets now.

    Hilarious.

Scotland will not vote for independence, nothing will shake and the world doesn't care.

Oh you sure? Just wait and see then. As much as is your disbelief now, as much will be your astonishment. It's not like the world has a choice to care or not. In economics they colloquially call it domino effect. An independent little powerhouse will emerge called Scotland.

    January Poll

As of January only 23% of Voters want independence . If you can show me a poll that suggests otherwise then you are welcome to link to it.

There is NO evidence to suggest that a majority of Scots will vote for Independence.

Ideally there will be substantial devolution but full independence is a non event.
