    It appears to have originated with a Ukrainian official who has been cozying up to Trump & Rudy for some time now, initially in an attempt to regain authority he lost to an independent US-backed anti-corruption unit and now in an attempt to ingratiate himself with a new government in Ukraine that is investigating him for corruption. He initially presented the allegations to Giuliani some months ago, then when this whole scandal hit the news a political ally of his in the Ukrainian parliament repeated them.

    Despite claiming to have documentary evidence of this months ago, none has yet been produced. maybe it will be, but you have to figure that if Giuliani had access to documents showing that Biden received $900k Fox would be showing them 24/7. Instead we get crappy youtube videos from even less reliable sources.

    Four days before President Trump was inaugurated in January 2017, the outgoing vice president, Joe Biden, was in Ukraine — his sixth visit in seven years — to deliver a rousing farewell speech.

    “You’re fighting both against the cancer of corruption, which continues to eat away at Ukraine’s democracy within, and the unrelenting aggression of the Kremlin,” he told local leaders, politicians and parliamentarians in Kyiv, the capital.

    “It’s imperative that you continue to strengthen all of your anti-corruption institutions to root out those who would return Ukraine to rule by cronyism and kleptocracy,” he added.

    The rousing speech reflected not only Biden’s focus on driving out entrenched corruption in Ukraine, but also the Obama White House efforts to help the former Soviet republic on its difficult path to democracy.
