I was thinking today about all the things which happen in Eastern part of the Ukraine. Now I came to the conclusion, that Russia should not interfere in East of the Ukraine and let the things go, as they go. This would be a bad idea to bring Russian forces into conflict. Russia does not need Eastern Part of the Ukraine. Too much investments to restore it and we have a lot of our own problems, now also with Crimea. Finally, I think that after couple years, naturally, Ukraine will understand that it can not go with Europe , it will turn closer to Russia. Probably, it will collapse itself and will split into two parts-one of which will go to EU, and one-to Russia. But this would happen naturally and in this case noone will blame Russia, in contrast if Russia starts military operations in the Ukraine. I also do not think that Russia should be afraid that Ukraine join NATO, it will not. Since first, it has territory disputes with Russia, and this against the basic rules of NATO, and second, Ukraine has no money to pay a membership in NATO.

 

Aaa, forgot to say. I was always thinking that the law about the status of Russian language as a second language was cancelled, because Rada has voted for cancellation. And that is what always said russian TV. But this is not true, it is just desinformation! The president has not signed the decision of Rada, therefore the language law is still valid.

BTW, many governors in South-East are Russian speakers, and they are pro Russian, too.

 

Just to be precise:
- Russian language was never second, just have regional status
- Every year Ukraine has less and less russian schools in all regions
- Cancellation even of regional status was one of the first law by new government. They start it right after they took power. That's clearly shows their intension to discriminate russian-speaking people of Ukraine.
- And yes they are not sighed it. But it is just because they are have to after they saw reaction of the people. Tension is too strong today.
- Later when everyone will calm down they surely will come back to this question.

Yes, I meant of course this law about regional languages. You know what, I think that even if they cancelled the law about regional languages, after some time they would have to consider to go back to it. And the reason is very simple. Can you imagine where can work a person, who graduated from the University or Institute with the knowledge of only Ukrainian language? Only in Ukraine. And the person, who knows Russian would have much more options. Actually for many technical things, for biology also there are no adequate Ukranian translation.
