No the US leader at the time was a anti British nobhead. weakening your most important ally in the cold was the right thing to do? And you wonder why the UK didn't go into NAM, and put up a (*)(*)(*)(*) effort in Iraq. One day the UK will just tell the US to do one, that's why I want a European military. What about the USA's canal. For it was the US trying to weaken Europe, I mean you didn't back your 3 most important allies over the next 60 years, it is something the UK will never forget. The worsed day in British history.

OK, you really need to do some reasearch here. For one, Vietnam was over a decade before the Falklands.

For two, what do you mean that the US was "anti-British"?

The US publically supported UN Security Resolution 502 which called for the departure of Argentina from the Islands. They also provided the UK with a lot of equipment, including new SONAR and anti-submarine weapons (which they normally would not have authorized for release to foreign nations).

And when the Brazil Peace Talks failed, the US publically supported the UK, as well as provided them with intelligence on the disposition of Argentine forces (and it has been suggested for years that at least 1 US submarine was in the area giving them updates on the location of Argentine ships).

I have absolutely no idea whaere you are getting your information, but it is in total contrast of what was going on at the time. And I remember this conflict very well, since it was because of this that I met my future wife.

If you want even more references, I will provide them. I can also try and pull some out of my book collection revolving around both the war, and the "Dirty War".

I was talking about Suez, and how from then on until the British gave up Hong Kong, th US undermined British power, the fact there it a US and the rest in NATO, is because they US doesn't give the rest it's better weapons, until they are attacked, what is the point in that.
