Airport gates are at the airport

Apparently you've missed the weeks of news reports how difficult it has been for Americans to get to those airport gates.

But you have helped to make the word, gate/s, important symbolism for this whole mess. "Gate/s" has been a "word of knowledge" for me the past several days. Gate/s = barbarians at the gate = fall of Rome. I understood that "gate/s" was an important "word of knowledge" while watching a Pentagon briefing the day before the explosion that killed so many at "Abbey Gate." I couldn't even count the many times the Pentagon general used that word, gate/s, so I knew it had greater meaning... and the next day it did have greater meaning. And it will become even more meaningful.
