Because during all that surgery time they are not deployable. How do you not understand that the military needs people who are deployable to a war zone at a moments notice. That is why you are required to have your vaccinations updated, you teeth need to be health, and so forth. A soldier that can not deploy with his/her unit is not a very good soldier.

 

There should not be different requirements or dress code. The requirements should only take into account combat readyness/needs. It is not as if being female makes combat different so why would they be held to different standards?

Your math is meaningless in that not all persons that have sex reassignment surgery go on to enter the military.

All the Supreme Court ruled is that a temp ban could remain in place as the cases went though the lower courts.

These are common procedural rulings that have little meaning to the cases in general.

 

Are you saying the suicide rate is lower in the transgenders that go into the military?
