I realize the attempt is to be funny, but if the corporatist Romney would have won, not much would be that different. Mitt is the poster child for the republican party. The confusion is when people still assume that republicans are conservatives. They, the leadership, never have been and never will be. That won't stop them from using the conservative moniker or using the gullibility of some conservatives, who are in dire need of acceptance and leadership, even if it is a false profit.
One thing that Republicans deserve credit for is that they generally tend to be somewhat more reliable supporters of Israel. The G. O. One of the many reasons why the political left tends to favour the Palestinians…….. is that a high percentage of left wing thinkers in America have been terribly……. or at the minimum significantly offended by at least one if not by many people on the Christian political right?! Their dislike for fundamentalist Christians has rubbed off as a tendency to dislike fundamentalist Jews……… and to at least some degree……. the principle of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" has kicked in……… so they tend to buddy up with Muslims????!
