Abbott says the lack of votes in WA senate elections strengthens his resolve in attempting to axe carbon tax. He believes the outcome was not an indication of people's comfortability with the tax. I say, he is kidding himself. If anything it confirms that people don't trust him with controlling the country. He has shown his hand and people aren't happy. In any instance I think his continual press to get rid of it will cause more issues for himself and for the livelihood of the nation. He won't be happy until we are sitting at the bottom of the pile once again and having to emulate everyone else's feats in terms of economic progress. It won't be long before we are sitting somewhere in the middle or bottom once again, it's just this time the effects will be worse!

So true, with Abbott's we will fall to Greece level in no time, no progression, no plan, no visions.....
Under his watch, hundreds of Australian companies/ manufacturers will hit rock bottom.
And I bet they still blame it on Labor....

Did you see the Greens gaining momentum in WA?
    Regards

God help this country if those idiot Greens get any real power. Australia will end up being a tent city of refugees.

    Tell me,
why is it so hard for you Libs/National supporters to look to the future? Why do you everything possible to stay in the past?
I mean, honestly, the past is the past and its gone. Whether good or bad. The good thing about the past is, we can learn from it.
And now look to the FUTURE, WHERE DO YOU WANT US TO BE IN 20 OR 50 YEARS TIME?
Sell off all our assets? Free trade agreement even with everyone? A growth rate of 2 or 3%? Forever? Do you honestly believe that fixes our problems?
Mate, with Abbott's and your mindset we are doomed!
    Regards

Honestly, I thought the greens had seen their best days and suppose all the haters out there wished it was. It was especially surprising considering the demographic. I have to say, I reckon they could do with a new leader. Old Christine seems way too negative in many people's eyes as far I am concerned. Not the same without old bob there or someone with his soft but firm character.

I'm with you though, I find it strange that the conservative side of politics is happy to stay stagnated and visionless. All it is, is just "let's get over the line politics without taking any risks"! Goes against the grain of business philosophy!

ABS no longer needs to compile figures of the percentage of the population with IQ below room temperature (centigrade). Formula is simple.

(greens voters + union believers)*2/5of FA
    .....................................................5/8
