#Walkway = Republicans pretending to be disaffected Democrats

Right wingers' new hobby is to create a Twitter username, type something like "I used to be a Democrat but now I see that Democrats suck, so #MAGA!!!" followed by the hashtag #walkaway.

The wife of Clarence Thomas was caught tweeting images of alleged disaffected Democrats which turned out to be stock photos of random black people.

These Republicans have a "rally" on Friday, and rest assured, you will not be seeing pictures of the crowd of 50 right wing nuts or so that will gather.

 

I'm traversing and canoeing my way through a river of denial here.

 

I doubt if mrs thomas knew the photos were fake

 

Even if that one example is true it nowhere near de-legitimizes the entire movement.

 

How many people can you verify that have switched from being a registered Democrat to A republican? Typing claims on a political forum doesn't make those claims true.

Also tell me how many people you expect in your upcoming march, and do you promise to post pictures of the crowd.

 

I know several people who have done so and I can refer you to Peublo, County Colorado where the Democrats lost almost 20,000 of their voters to Trump in 2016. You take losing can you?

Most of the people in #WalkAway are former Democrats. Just read David Jr Harris's story or Candace Owen's story. How about Cj Pearson who is actually going to be at the March on Washington event? Blacks are supporting Trump more now then before the election. Even the singer T.I just trashed the Democratic Party in his latest video and look at Kanye West...

 

Yeah, no one would leave a violent and unhinged party that lurches farther left every day. No civility, at the gasoline station...

 

Not everyone is a fake or a Russian bot. Why is it so hard for you to believe people are leaving the Democratic party?

 

I wonder if he is going to call Brandon Stratka a fake? You know the former gay liberal who started the whole entire thing. This guy will find out the truth come the next presidential election when Africans turn out in large numbers to support Trump. Every month more and more Africans seem to be switching sides and speaking out against the Democrats.

 

Your claims of the opposite can't be verified either, so what are you really arguing here?

 

The burden is not on someone to prove a claim false. The burden is for Republicans to prove it's true.

 

How many "Africans" have switched?

 

How many people have left the party?

 

Show me where I called "everyone" those things. Just show proof.

 

Whatever you have to tell yourself to keep voting for a party that thinks the black man's place is begging for food at his momma's table or furnishing white liberals with their illcit drug of choice.

 

The movement has never been legitimate. Republicans have long used the ruse about how they used to be Democrats, but wised up and became Republicans. Here in Oregon, in the race for governor, the Republican candidate's ads begin with women, claiming to be Democrats, but voting for the Republican. But then Knute Buehler isn't exactly known for his honesty.

These games may influence the weak minded people in the middle, along with the conservative core, which is known, for its gullibility, but such scams don't work on liberals. Mostly by being intelligent enough to see through the ruse.

 

I will say this: I am an independent. The most recent vote I cast for any democrat was Obama in '08. Based on their performance since then, and in particular, their activities leading up to, and since the 2016 election, I can say with confidence, that I cannot consider voting for any democrat again in the forseeable future.

To that extent, at least, I am a member of the #walkaway group.

 

It might have something to do with actual facts not lining up with the Republican narrative.

However, there were quite a few that left the Democrtic Party after it embraced civil rights. That is why all the racists are now in the Republucan Party, and why the right-wing rhetoric so often condemns the Democratic Party for its support of non-white people.


From my point of view, the current Republican Party is the party of scared white men. Scared of losing their place in society to women and colored men Oh the horror of it all.

Being a white man with testicular fortitude, I don't have that problem. Fear thrives on the right, not the left.

 

If #walkaway is fake why are you so spun up over it?

 

So, does that mean that you are upset that the so-called dreamers and homosexuals have gained rights, during Obama's presidency, and medical insurance has been extended to a much wider range of citizens.

I highly suspect that the folks, at The Heritage Foundation, have decided, that Blacks must be as gullible as conservatives are. So they keep feeding the line that Blacks are leaving the Democratic Party, headed for the Republican Party, who, wink, wink, really cares about them. It worked with conservatives, so why not try to add conformist Blacks.

 

Well, to quote trump, “what do you have to lose?”. Trump has done more for blacks than obama, which is a pretty low bar.

 

So here's what I don't get. On this forum alone, Republicans call Democrats socialists. In what world could a socialist turn their back on their beliefs and become a Trump supporter?
