Plod has 'just discovered' a hitherto unknown rape offence, and the piece of scum is going to be prosecuted. So what do we have here, the potted history from then to now?: Politicians wring their hands and weep plentiful crocodile tears for all those victims but say they can't do anything about it (but everybody knows they could if they wanted to, but they've been told the prisons service needs Warboys' cell for would-be terrorists (or an errant council tax payer? lol)). Public outrage is stirred up about his early release - politicians suddenly realise they got it wrong - Plod discovers said 'previously unknown offence', and gets off it arse to actually do more than 'take it extremely seriously' - end result? Warboys stays in the slammer, politicians can get back to Annie's Bar, or chase women to grope - the plod can make up for the multiplicity of their past failures, and the Parole Board is off the hook and escapes public excoriation and accountability for their unbelievably incompetent decision, and everybody's happy. What a ****ing joke this country of mine has become.
